It's a good safety measure to never touch any downed lines, even if they look to be without power.
If they fell down from a utility pole contact your local PUC.

How do I get Bell to come get a tree off their line. I called it in a month ago and I'm at the point I'm just gonna tie it to the truck and rip it off the line myself. I'm sure you'll have to come fix it for sure at that point since it's a main line that runs down the road feeding everyone's service.

Looking for a way to report a way to report an electrical box that had been left open for a week now. There are exposed internet and telephone cables that are susceptible to weather and animals. Would like to have someone come out and close it.

I am doing some landscape work around my home. Locates were completed and a conditional clearance for hand digging was issued for the Fibe installation. We are considering that it might be more effective to disconnect the Fibe cable from the demarcation box on my house, that is, the Fibe from the street to my home. Who do I contact specifically to request a temporary disconnection? Thanks.

Good Day.
The locates have now been completed & a conditional clearance was provided to hand dig.
Unless I am missing the point, I do not see any value in disconnecting the fibre cable from the side of your home. If it is disconnected from your home, you would immediately be out of service. Your contractor might perceive this as benefit. It would serve little purpose in avoiding damage to the fibre cable.
In either situation, if the cable is damaged, it would need to be repaired or replaced. If the cable is cut, you will need to call: 611 or 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or dial #611 from any Bell mobile device.

In June 2023 Bell had put up temporary internet over head wires in the backyard. June 2024 will make it a year these wires are obstructing our backyard. These wires are so low we have to bend down to get around them. It has really become a safety issue. We can't enjoy our backyard now that the weather is warming up I have called customer service a few times each time getting a different date for a service person to come out to the house. They told me June 1, 3. and 7 2024 each time no one showed up. Someone please tell me who I need to contact to have this resolved. Is there a government agency who can help?

Your husband is right to be concerned. At the same time, Bell does repair cut fibre lines quickly. If the line is not buried properly, call 611 or *611 on a cell phone and request the line be properly buried as soon as possible.

Almost a year ago, Bell installed an overhead wire from a connection box (JIWI) at the foot of my property to a drop 5 houses down the street that suffered a line cut because of wreckless digging. The wire now hangs low enough to be a safety hazard for small children or a tall vehicle that must come up a driveway. Two weeks ago, I filed an online complaint on the Bell Canada site and provided pictures. The silence is deafening. Teenage pranksters will either pull the wire down, or children run the risk of hanging from the wire if they decide to swing on it. News at 11.
There was no tag label for "safety" so I used what was available.
Old Forest Road, Pickering
play with it.

I understand your frustration. We had a similar situation at my workplace recently with a Bell aerial line hanging because of a storm damaged tree branch. We called Bell (611) who had a contractor out to repair the line on the same day. Calling Bell can be more effective than sending an e-mail. Even better, do both.
