Please help me

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

The Bell Wi-Fi app allows for basic parental control features like pausing internet access on individual devices or creating user profiles with assigned devices for easier management. You can schedule internet freezes for specific times, indefinitely, and pause devices temporarily or for longer durations.

The Bell Wi-Fi app also includes a number of other features:

  • Manage your Wi-Fi network name and password
  • Share your Wi-Fi network with guests
  • See all the devices connected to your network
  • Check Wi-Fi signal strength throughout your network
  • Manage parental controls, such as temporarily blocking Internet access or setting recurring access schedules
  • Run speed tests on your device
  • Install Whole Home Wi-Fi pods

Please check out the document that I have included below. All of the necessary user instructions are included.

You will need to download & install the Bell Wi-Fi app onto your mobile device from your mobile manufactures app store. E.g. Samsung, Apple, etc.

What is the Bell Wi-Fi app and how do I use it? : What is the Bell Wi-Fi app?

If you wish to enhance your security even further, you can download and activate McAfee Safe Family from Bell. In order to do so, you will need to subscribe to McAfee Security from Bell.

@BellPatricia

I cannot understand why I need the app to do the things that I should be able to do on the Giga Hub modem, like removing a device from the Wifi!  The modem should provide FULL admin control, and the app should be supplementary to the modem.  Not some functions on the modem, and some on the app!  Come on Bell, fix this!

The less software is on the modem, the more resources are available for modem functions. Putting the core functionality on the modem and the remainder on an external software solution is not uncommon. Ubiquity and Mikrotik do this, for example.

It has the added advantage you can update the software without having to reboot the modem and take your internet offline.
