Very painful that this is not working. Can access through webmail but who wants to do that.
Get "A stable connection with the server could not be established", have used pophm.sympatico.ca, imap.bell.net with correct port and ssl settings gs to no avail.
OG Sympatico user and this is becoming bothersome where simple emails cannot be retrieved.

Upgrade the OS on your iMac, if that is supported by Apple.

Hi there @HelpJulie
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
Are you able to share some further details of your concern so the Community can better assist?
Are you using Bell Webmail or a third party mail client and if so, which one?
What device are you using (make, model, firmware version, operating system, etc..)?
What troubleshooting steps have you attempted?
Looking forward to hearing back.

My solution, which I haven't seen elsewhere, to resolve this problem is related to the VPN. It started when I added ExpressVPN and started getting the message "Invalid security (SSL) certificate: No Peer certificate" on my Sympatico account but not on my Gmail account. After some experimenting I solved it using the Split Tunneling feature of the VPN and having my Android email client (AquaMail) excluded from using the VPN. Everything went to normal after that.
