Very painful that this is not working. Can access through webmail but who wants to do that.
Get "A stable connection with the server could not be established", have used pophm.sympatico.ca, imap.bell.net with correct port and ssl settings gs to no avail.
OG Sympatico user and this is becoming bothersome where simple emails cannot be retrieved.

Hi there @MSSympatico, thanks for providing additional information.
Unfortunately, we would be unable to speak to a third party mail client. But, if you check out the link we posted above you will find options on how to resolve this problem.

I am running Outlook under Microsoft Office 365 Windows 10. After several years of trouble-free email, for the past two weeks I am be asked to submit user name and password for the IMAP and SMTP servers, but am unable to comply (message keeps reappearing):
** Screen shots removed as they contain my email address ... reported error 0x800CC0E. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator.
I checked the IMAP and SMTP ports (995 and 587 *** changed from 465), but am unable to update the settings as the server cannot be accessed. I presume there may be an issue with the PST file (corrupted?), but am not sure how to correct if this is the problem.
Please advise.
Thanks.

Why does the email Outgoing server on the Mail app not work on my iPhone when away from home? I can send emails using my Sympatico account when at home using the Mail app on my phone, and as soon as I go to another part of the city or Provence I’m unable to send emails. Can you help?

Hey there @Gusto.Thanks for your post.
Are you able to duplicate this on another device? Have you removed your email address from the mail app, and re-added it to see if that makes a difference?

Good day @Trevor
Welcome to the Bell Community.
In order for the Community to help we will need a bit more information.
Can you clarify the exact issue that you are experiencing (e.g. share a photo of the error message you see)?
Also let us know what type of device you have and if the issue occurs on multiple devices, as well as which email client you are using, or if you only use Bell Webmail.
We recommend that you review this helpful article too, and try out the suggestions relevant to your issue: Troubleshooting Bell email
Let the Community know how everything is going.

Effective May 14 2024 my Sympatico emails no longer are loading on my IMAC. I have made no changes to any settings including password changes. The only change to the system was an update to the latest IOS. I have shut down and restarted my system twice to no avail. My gmail and iCloud mail continue to load. Anyone else experiencing these problems?

Hi there @Northerngirl
Thank you for your post.
Are you able to share how you are accessing your Bell email (through web-browser or third party email client) and have you tried both?
Have you attempted to access your Bell email on a different device?
Looking forward to hearing back.

This is the list of minimum operating system and E-mail software supported by Bell. They have recently enforced these minimum requirements.
- macOS 10.9 Mavericks and higher.
Your OS version is older than the minimum supported version, which is more than likely the reason why it recently stopped working.

Looks like you're running Leopard (MacOS 10.5.x). As far as I know there is no upgrade path from Leopard to Mavericks (MacOS 10.9.x). Unfortunately, it's highly unlikely your iMac will meet the minimum OS requirement.
