Hello. Thank you for diverting the spoof email. However, I still have 2 wee little problems associated with this.
- When I send email to myself (I like to send reminders to myself) the message goes to junk.
- When I send email to gmail recipients, they are still getting warnings."Be careful with this message. Gmail could not verify that it actually came from xxxxx@sympatio.ca. Avoid clicking links, downloading attachments......."
Would there be any way to fix this? The Gmail folks won't open the email and I have to use my gmail account to communicate with them. Thank you again.

If you find you're unable to email yourself; you may have added @Bell.net or @sympatico.ca to your block list.
You can remove that entry by going through your webmail settings: Settings wheel from the top right > Mail > Scroll down to Block Senders > Review blocked senders and remove either @Bell.net and/or @sympatico.ca

I posted earlier that I could not communicate with my daughter who has gmail account.
I finally went to blocked list. Her email address was in the list.! I removed it and the problem is solved.
I have no idea how it got on the blocked list.

Sometimes I email something to myself as a reminder. I'm not receiving these emails anymore. I've tried emailing myself from different devices, but the message is never received. There is no bounce back message and it doesn't get filtered as spam or to a Junk Items folder. I tried the request delivery option and that comes in indicating the message was delivered successfully, but the message itself is no where to be found. I've since set up a rule that says any message that comes in from myself should automatically be put in the "Archive" folder, but this hasn't made a difference (as I figured it wouldn't). Doesn't matter which platform I use (Bell Webmail, Android GMail app, Microsoft Outlook) the message is not received. Any ideas on why email messages to yourself are no longer received? I have the ancient Sympatico domain.

Thanks for pointing the 1st issue out mystic. Tried a couple of times to email myself...no go. It appears part of their solution was to simply create a script that checks to see if your username is in the 'To' address and if so, blocks it. In my case, doesn't even show up in 'Junk'. That's problematic. Lots of people like to cc themselves in their correspondence. I also like to email myself sometimes for troubleshooting purposes, similar to what Steelyman tried above.

Thought I'd start a new thread from the 'Bizarre junk email thread', although I believe this new issue is linked. Ever since the 'fix' was made to filter out the dozens of daily junk/spam emails, I can no longer copy myself on emails. I need to be able to do this.

I am experiencing the exact same issue. I am ccing emails to myself or sending emails to myself and I am not receiving them. I'd be interested in any fix. Ps, this is my first time posting in a forum like this, I apologize for any etiquette missteps.

It's been weeks now and still no solution. I'm reaching my wits end with Bell and their support. I'll give another day and if not resolved, I'm dumping their emails service and beginning the very painful process of moving to another provider. Fed up.

I cannot send an email to myself as a reminder. It appears in my sent file but never in my inbox. As of late I am not receiving emails from another sympatico email user. They are on my approved list and not on my blocked list. Also not receiving email online receipts, but only sometimes from a certain online company. Very frustrating as I see others are having the same problem and not getting it resolved.

Since the big spam problem I have been unable to CC myself on outgoing notes , not a big deal , but since last Sat. I cannot send myself mail either from my laptop or my phone, no error messages , & it is in my sent box.
Other people can send to me , & I can compose , reply etc etc.
I gave this into Bell Quad support yesterday , still waiting for a response.

Hello. Was this issue of emailing yourself ever solved? I am having the same issue. The messages are in my Sent folder, but never come into my Inbox, or anywhere else for that matter.

I too would like to know the answer to email oneself. I would like to cc myself in some correspondence, but am unable to do so. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

I’m having the same issue as well as not being able to “import email accounts” on webmail. It all seemed to start going down hill when they implemented that nasty new online Webmail from one that was working almost flawlessly for most ! They want to get rid of @sympatico.ca and go exclusively with @bell.net. Everything seems to work with bell.net. They know exactly what the issue is and are playing the “ we will escalate the ticket, and someone will contact you with within 48 hrs”…….…..RIGHT! The mail filters are also a joke now………they still get through constantly with the same blocked domain/sender. IMHO anyway
