Twice within the last few days when I open Outlook on my desktop computer, all the emails in my Inbox disappear. Note, they disappear, not get deleted. I click on another folder, like Sent, then click back to Inbox and Outlook will re-synch with the server and re-download all the emails. Of course with thousands of emails, this takes some time.
Has anybody else had this happen?
Thanks

Hi @BellPatricia,
It looks to me like there are 2 different problems. When I started this thread almost 2 years ago, my problem was that the emails disappeared from the Inbox in my Outlook on my desktop pc or my laptop, but they were still present in the Inbox on the Bell server. So, as I said before, when I clicked on any another folder like Sent or Deleted, then click back on Inbox, that causes Outlook to re-synch with the server (I am using IMAP). Of course, with over 10,000 emails in the Inbox, this takes some time.
These most recent messages seem to be about some people have had their emails completely disappear. If they can't see them in Webmail, I'd say they were gone. Thankfully, I don't have that problem.
Regardless of an individual's scenario, it looks to me like there is some kind of random problem on the Bell email servers.
And I never did get any plausible explanation as to why my messages disappeared even though they were still available on the servers. It can't be my Outlook, as it happened on two of my computers at different times, and it has happened once to my wife on her laptop with her Outlook.

Hey @garden
Thank you for reaching out to the Bell Community 🙂
Are you using Bell Webmail or accessing your email through an email client such as Outlook? Do you see your deleted emails in the Trash/Deleted folder?
If you do not see anything in your Junk folder we recommend checking your Junk settings, and uncheck the option to automatically delete Junk email.
Let us know if you need any more help.

I too am having the same issue of disappearing emails in my inbox on both my outlook app on my phone and my outlook program on my computer. I haven't tried Bell webmail yet to see if my inbox emails are there or not but will today.
