Up until recently I was getting between 300-600 mbps on my POD and Hub over wifi. (I don't have wired connections) However, I am at best getting around 150-200 mbps on my POD now (no change with the Hub, and there was no change to my set up). I rebooted everything to see if it would make a difference, but it remains the same. This has been going on for about a week, and measured at different times throughout the day.
When I run the Bell wifi checkup, it is showing a download speed of 1.8 gbps on the hub, and 1.5 gbps on the POD - with a strong signal to all my devices. That said, I see no difference in the performance of any of my devices. I also note that the Bell wifi app is showing my devices are getting 2-3x the speed that I see when I run Speedtest or Fast.
I am curious as to why the POD speed connectivitiy has dropped in half, and why Bell keeps sending me promotions to upgrade my speed, when I can't even come close to getting the speed I pay for now.

Not from the modem dashboard but from the WiFi app, yes.

Have had bell technician here today. I showed them the throughput from the Modem versus the PODS. Explained that I had saw better performance from the PODs etc.
They said I was only getting 1.7GB to my Gigahub. They replaced the GigaHub - it updated itself (automatically) to the 2.13 firmware when he installed it. Wireless speed was the same on the PODs (150-190 Mb) and the Gigahub (600-750 Mb).
They then changed the "Pigtail" at the distribution panel CSP. The Gigahub then hit speeds of 3 GB when performing speedtests to the Gigahub. (Bell to Gigahub)
Unfortunately the speeds at the pods did not change at all on my internal network.
Problem will be escalated to next level of support and hope to see them tomorrow morning. I will keep this thread updated. Slow process but we are getting visibility!

Bell technician here today. We tore apart the network. Changed the WIFI password to another password so the devices I have would not log in. Removed the remaining pods except one. We ran throughput tests again and nothing changed. Helpdesk is saying this is normal. I have approximately 40 devices.. (hasn't changed for months).
Mostly lightbulbs, outlet timers, sonos speakers. They are implying it has something to do with the total amount of devices.. I'm not buying that. When we removed everything - the speed from the pod remained approx 175.
Put everything back together and waiting for my call from the Tech support team to see where we go next.
Curious as to how many devices others have on their home networks?

on behalf of all of us with this issue, thanks for putting up with all this nonsense in an effort to get to the center of the problem.
i'm usually in the neighbourhood of 10-20 devices total on my network at any given moment. it's been that way for almost 3 years.
what i don't understand is why/how there is more than one person acting as if the pods were never able to achieve speeds greater than 200 mbps. especially folks at helpdesk!

For those with issues: what is the actual reported link speed under Windows when connected to a pod?

That indicates you are connected wired to the pod. Can you connect wirelessly to the pod and try the speed test again?

Hi, yes sorry. I meant to say that the test was done both wired and wireless. Same results.

yeah, @Vanadiel, respectfully, we're past that. multiple reports have been posted in this thread that this is replicated across wired and wireless connections. i strongly doubt we are gonna Check-The-Properties our way out of this one.
even if the wireless results were different (they're not), the ethernet-to-pod configuration is what i've always used for this device, for nearly three years. so the wifi link speed is actually irrelevant for my particular use case.
if there is a specific troubleshoot method that you're getting at, could you please share it? otherwise, you're kinda clogging the thread with the questions that ignore most of what's been shared in the thread. thanks!

There are multiple ways of configuring these.
- Wired or wireless to the home hub.
- Wired or Wireless from the pod to your computer.
I am assuming in your case the pod is connected wirelessly with the home hub, and wired from the pod to your computer.
If that is the case, the issue could be with the wired part of the pod, the wireless portion of the pod, or the wireless connection between the pod and the home hub, or a combination of those.
You might even get better speed results removing the pod and connecting wirelessly to the home hub in your case.
There likely is a firmware issue somewhere, or some kind of connectivity issue, but some of it you might be able to temporarily work around pending your setup until it's resolved.
The troubleshooting method boils down to systematically testing out various connection options, and confirm or rule out issues in the process.

I have this exact issue. Use to get 400mbps on the pods, now it’s hovering around 100-150mbps. Ridiculous… have you found a resolution?

Thanks for your post. While I have never seen any published limit on connected devices, there appears to be a correlation between pod issues in and around 60 connected devices. It might be possible to overwhelm the system with 40 devices, depending on device demand.

I have two devices connected to the POD, and experienced a 66% decrease in speed at around the same time as other users who have posted on here and on Reddit. It's not my set up, nor that of any other user. This is getting frustrating.

Hi,
Seeing as most of my devices are bulbs, switches google display. Only have at most three devices at a time that are using the throughput ie: streaming video or music.
The bell technician and I also proved that fact by changing the SSID on the GIGAhub and then removed everything except one 6E pod that was approximately 20-25 feet away on the same floor of the house. So with nothing but the hub - pod - wireless laptop - 150-170 throughput.
