cpu load has technically never gotten high since i signed up for fiber, but now it its unexpectedly.

Thank you for your question. Are you seeing any symptoms of the modem malfunctioning? If not, it's probably not something to worry about.

Hi there @Gptechman
Thank you for your post.
It is sometimes normal for the CPU usage to fluctuate. It's generally not a concern and should not impact your device performance. The CPU usage going up could be from a device that was connected resulting in the modem providing a high load temporarily. The CPU usage should reduce on it's own, a reboot may reduce it or you can also remove all your devices from your internet connection and connect them one by one to see which device may be increasing the CPU usage on your modem.

it is not normal it's always above 50%, last night I had tested the speed via speedtest.net and the wireless speeds were so poor with nothing connected as well as most tests kept failing, I also have a factory reset twice. so this new firmware has bugs and performs worse then before.

Hi there @Gptechman
Are you able to perform a speed test directly through the modem and share the results?
Can you also share which package your subscribed to?

Thanks @Gptechman
Are you also able to share a speed test result that shows the poor speeds you mentioned?
Do you happen to have your Wi-Fi bands splits up between the 2.4 Ghz, 5 Ghz and 6 Ghz?
Does the indicated speed result of your device change when you are closer / further away from the modem and can you also share which device you are using?

unfortunately I've accidentally deleted the results from Mike last night yes I have every band split and chose the cleanest Channel and testing on a Galaxy s21 I also tested on other devices with 13th gen computer with intel ax 211 card at 5 ft away in line of sight i pulled only around anywhere from 110 to 370, and just before I commented I ran speed test and couldn't get past 500 no matter how close I was

What is your speed test when using a wired connection, and what is the CPU usage when doing a wired speed test?

Hi there @Gptechman
It's possible one of your connected devices is causing the modem to put in higher loads, causing the CPU usage to increase. The best thing to that we'd recommend is disconnect all your devices from the network and once nothing is connected except for one device, check the CPU usage to see what it's at. If it's low, gradually connect another device, check the CPU usage and so on and so forth. When you connect a device and you see your modem CPU usage increase higher then expected, it would determine which device is causing the CPU usage to go up.
As for speed test results from your modem to device being slow, your modem CPU usage percentage should not cause any device performance issues.
Should you test out the disconnection and reconnection of devices and find one that causes the CPU usage to increase on the modem, please keep the Community updated.

Yes, I have a similar CPU usage number. 71% at the moment. No other issues.

I'm experiencing the same. This morning, I had to reboot the GH because its CPU was at 100%. I was able to connect to the modem to see this information. but then after a couple of minutes the modem page would be unresponsive, no content would load, and I needed to restart the modem.
This has been an ongoing issue for the past 3-4 months... I feel like I shouldn't need to reboot the modem to solve this issue. Once rebooted. I'm fine for 2-3 weeks, then it requires a hard reboot.
Firmware 2.13
