Hi @jillybean,

Depending on the device you have, you can block area codes. So in theory you can block a country by blocking all its area codes.

On an Android, you can go to Settings > Call Settings > Call Rejection > Auto Reject List > Create > Enter the phone number or country code with a “+” prefix. (e.g. enter +234 to auto reject all calls from Nigeria). Change “Match Criteria” to “Starts with” and then Save list.

Repeat the above steps for all the area codes of countries you want to block. All of Africa does not have a common area code so you can’t blanket block all calls.

Good Luck

Hey there @jillybean,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the Community.

Unfortunately, Bell does not have the ability to block incoming calls from a specific country.

I keep getting notices of Voicemail from 647-XXX-XXXX. I don't call them back. This is happening 5-10 times per day.  I can't seem to block the number because it's not an actual phone call. Any suggestions?

I’m getting ~10 spam calls a day (DHL package scam), phone number pattern is usually 800-xxx-xxxx. Is there a way to block incoming calls with such specific pattern?

my samsung s22 android phone has a settings icon, but when i open up settings there is not a "call settings" icon as described above.

Hi everyone.

Just wondering if Bell Mobility offers a SPAM CALL BLOCKING services?

I’ve had my phone number for a few years, but over the past month, I’ve been getting unknown SPAM CALLS multiple times per day/night. It’s getting frustrating.

Does Bell provide any SPAM PROOF services? Or can someone recommend a reputable outsider provider app (that does not end up causing more spam if you don’t subscribe to their services)?

Also, I blocked those numbers, but is there a way to report them using my phone? I’m afraid that I may accidentally dial their numbers back and incur excessive charges.

Any suggestions to how to BLOCK THESE SPAM CALLS?

Already registered with the National Do Not Call List, but it seems pretty useless.

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated!

you can have any calls from people not in your contacts  silenced so you don't even know they called and then they are just a missed call and you delete them.  works for me, but I don't use my cell phone as an actual phone very much.

For over a month i have been getting calls as many as 3 per day and i do not know who is calling from that number. i have tried blocking that number but it still comes in and when i tried to send a text to tell them to stop calling was replied that i would have to pay for send a text or answering the calls.

Just had a phone call saying my services are trying to be used from an outside persons out of the country! What do I do

Hang up! Scam, phishing, etc. etc.
