Data & MMS messages

I keep getting a message " tap here to allow MMS Messages when data is off " I do not have much data 100 mb a month. I am afraid of inadvertently being charged for data so I turned off data on everything I could find,to avoid this. If I set to allow Mms messages when data is off will this use ny data allowance ?

Hi there @Reinhad. Thanks very much for reaching out to the Bell Community 🙂

Is this a device message popping up on your phone, or a message from us?
MMS messages do not count against your data.

Thanks for letting us know @Reinhad

It sounds like your device does allow open protocol for MMS without having to turn on data 🙂

Hey there @Number Change Fee ,

Great question!

The Bell MMS platform is configured to accept MMS messages up to 2MB from Bell customers.

Note, the max MMS message size, a Bell customer can send, also depends on their mobile phone capabilities and those capabilities are different for different OEMs(original equipment manufacturers).
