I received a call and was told that I am eligible for iPhone 15 pro max and I will receive message in email, surprisingly I got email on my email which is registered with bell mobility and this email clearly mentioned my username
I knew this was fraudulent so I didn’t answer by clicking the links in email, I just want to make every body aware that by clicking the link it will open your app
Data from bell mobility is stolen and they should do something about this

On Aug.29 I received a call from?Bell - they wanted no personal information- in fact they had everything that is on my bell app. I was told they would contact me shortly but as yet no response. Interestingly there is a message on my “my bell app “ that says my offer of a new phone is pending! If this is a scam how can they take over my private bell app? I now notice that the all information comes from Matthew Max at Matthew @@bell wireless.live

Good Day.
Smells like another Scam! If unsure, treat it as another case of fraud, scam, possible theft, etc.
Please review the link I have provided below.
Service provider impersonation scam - Bell
Have you contacted Bell & checked out the new phone pending order? You need to make them aware that you did not place an order? Have you asked them to check out the information & details that you have provided?
Have you changed your MyBell account password?
If your account has been hacked, you now need to figure out how to fix it and avoid a similar situation from ever happening again!
Are you talking about or suggesting that someone has gained access to your computer, mobile device, accounts, etc.? Email lists, Credit cards, Banking, etc. etc.
If so, then you need to delete this information! You need to change accounts or whatever that has been hacked! You need to notify whomever about whatever that has been hacked.
If it is your computer or device you will need to have it cleaned, reset or serviced! Do you have any software / app protection for malware, viruses, threats, etc.?
Remember one thing .... Do not give out anything to anyone you do not know or trust! Do not share personal information. Do not open links or messages in Emails or text messages!
Reputable companies such as Bell, banks, utilities & highly regarded services & institutions do not send you messages or make calls such as this! They do not call you asking to provide personal information. Hang up! Report the fraud! & Delete!
We are always here to support and to help you!
Keep us up to date on your progress & let the Community know if you need anything else.
Take care.

Same thing. Offer of a free phone because a loyal customer over 30 years. I didn’t give any of my info but they were able to put a new Samsung on my account. I called Bell right away to tell them that the phone was pending on my account. The only thing the rep said was don’t open it or you will activate. Someone sent me a shipping label to send it back. They said it went to the wrong customer so just drop it off at Canada Post. Not one in 3 calls to Bell did anyone say we don’t give away free phones and to contact the fraud dept. after 6 weeks the phone got activated on my account even after my calls to Bell. If I have to give a passcode when I call and a password to log in how did this get added to my account? I was told to watch my account and it will be removed. I have always been so sceptical and I can’t believe that I fell for this scam but I also feel Bell should have followed through after I notified them immediately. Lesson learned. I don’t care if a real Bell rep calls me I’ll hang up.

Sadly, your situation is not unique. Bell is not my cellular provider, but I don’t answer calls from them, either.

Good Day.
Thank you for taking the time to share this with the members of the Bell Community Forum. You did the right thing by calling Bell immediately.
In order to order this device, they would have to have access to some of your personal information. This could of been in the form of email link, text message, etc. Are you using any virus & malware software protection on your computer? Have done a recent scan to check for back door trojans, etc.
If you did not provide any details to the caller, then the phone call you received only confirmed to the thief nothing more than your identity. Your credit card or debit card could of have been compromised by way of an in-store banking machine or transaction terminal.
Personal information and your privacy - FAQs (bell.ca)
Fraudsters call potential victims claiming to be from their service provider. They offer a promotion or deal so lucrative they cannot pass it up. The fraudsters proceed to ask for the victim’s personal information including their Social Insurance Number (SIN) and Driver’s License number, credit card, passwords, etc.
Have you changed your MyBell password? Your email account password? You should monitor your credit card account. You should also change your PIN number.
Please have a look at the following web link. I am hoping you will find something new in this document that will be of benefit to you.

I received a call from an Ontario phone number saying that my profile can be upgraded to receive a 15pro max and entire billing would be for 50CAD. I was in a hurry so couldn't continue. Somehow they knew my phone no. and email address. Second call was from a Quebec no. then I really felt something fishy. why would different numbers from different places in use was my first thought. Searched on Google. Found similar scam incidents on Reddit and Bell Forum.

Hello
I been getting phone calls from a person claiming they work with bell.
one phone call was talking about a upgrade to new phone when I turned down the offer the person hung up. 🚩
second call
i was asked to give feedback (person claiming they worked with bell) I have not reached out to bell for any reason or had purpose to contact bell until now. The person that called hung up on me again after declining to take part in the feedback they were looking for, I called the number back to tell them that was not professional of them if they work for bell…. This kinda makes me want to buy out my contract and take my business elsewhere…

You have every right not to speak with anyone, including Bell, at any time. I receive calls from my cell provider (not Bell) all the time. I no longer answer them and I feel no remorse is doing that.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
Thank you for taking the time to share this with the members of the Bell Community Forum.
What makes you think it was a representative from Bell that called you? Because he said so? Because of his call display number?
Next time, please hang up! This was not Bell calling you. How about a scammer, a fraudster, a thief trying to gain access to your personal information.
Do not call them back. There is no reason for you to talk to them at all.

I got a scam call from +1-204xxxxxxx offering me a loyalty discount $50 to $40 with fix contract price for 2 years. And they will ask you to provide them a verification code from MSM and even send you a email from Bell. Please don’t trust and hang up immediately.

I just got a call from someone using 437 99* **** masked as V129123029*****
He offered iPhone 16 pro 512gb at $49 per month. Asked for my name and then DOB. Told him the day and month and he asked the year.. then my spider senses went off. Told him I prefer to type in an email and then he offered to send me an email and it came from bellcanada@promotiondeals.ca. looked fishy and I told him I was not comfortable continuing the conversation.
Is this a genuine promotion?
