Getting rid of gemini

How can one remove Gemini from Samsung Galaxy S24 FE? I have tried adding & removing the app, also tried dialing the app/ it's activities. No matter what I do Gemini pops up each time I try to turn off my phone. FYI I didn't add it or give anyone the okay to add it to my phone. Only to update my phone's operating system.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

As of now, there isn't a direct way to delete your Gemini account or completely remove it from your Google account.

you can limit Gemini's access to your data by following these steps:

Disable Gemini's Access to Your Data:

  • Go to your Google Account settings.
  • Navigate to the "Security" section.
  • Find "Connected apps" and locate "Gemini."
  • Click on "Manage" and then "Remove."
This will revoke Gemini's access to your Gmail and Drive data, but it won't completely delete your account.

Clear Your Gemini Activity:

  • You can clear your Gemini activity to remove your past interactions and queries.
  • Go to gemini.google.com.
  • Click on "Activity."
  • Click "Turn off" or "Turn off and delete activity."
Keep in mind that these steps might not completely remove all traces of your Gemini usage from Google's servers.
For more specific information and the latest updates, it's recommended to check Google's official documentation or contact their support team.

Take care.
