Global 365 Day Travel Pass eligibility/ Roaming Plans

Hello.

Can someone explain what is the requirement for being eligible  for the Global 365 Day $100 Travel Pass?  I currently have 2 lines.  One with Can/US/ some Intl calling and Can/US but both of these are not eligible for the Global 365 Day $100 Travel Pass Also,  Bell only has a 14 day Travel Data Roaming plan @$70.  The competitors both have a 30 day $60 Roaming plan.  Does anyone know if Bell will be implementing something similar?

Thanks for your comment. Bell doesn’t make known any plans or promotions until they are announced.
You will have to watch MyBell or check with a Bell Mobility store.

Good Day.

Thank you for posting your question.

Your Bell Mobility plan must allow for the addition of Roam Better.

  1. There cannot be any restriction on international calling in place on your account.
  2. Phones on prepaid plans do not qualify for Roam Better or Bell Travel Passes.
  3. Roam Better and Travel Passes are not available on all corporate accounts.
For further assistance, please call Bell Mobility Customer Service at: 1 800 667-0123 or dial *611 from any Bell mobile device.

Take care.

Good Day.

Thank you for your input and feedback. Bell does not pick and choose who can subscribe to the Bell Global 365-day Travel Pass. For eligible accounts, it is a one-time charge and can be used in all Roam Better eligible countries.

Can you please share some further information with us? Are you on a monthly or a pre-paid plan with Bell Mobility?

Hi.  I have the same plan as you but am unable to get the Global 365 plan.  Is yours a business account?   They seem to want to give some customers the 365 plan  but not others.  Thanks for a response.

As a separate note.  If we were to use Bell's best current option of 14 days of Roaming for 31 days we would incur a cost for that month of travel for 2 phones  ($137 + 70 +70 +70 +70 + (6 x $16= $96) = $513

Using one of the competitors 30 day roaming plans assuming same base monthly phone cost ($137 +60 +60) = $257

Hmmm

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

Thank you for raising your concern.

This is a peer-to-peer website. As such, plan pricing and policy decisions as suggested cannot be solved on this website. We do not have access to your account & billing records. Can you provide us with your mobility plan, add-on & travel details?

To subscribe to the Bell Global 365 Travel Pass you must be on a monthly postpaid plan that includes roaming services.

Have you previously contacted Bell Mobility & requested to unsubscribe you completely or to place a restriction on roaming that allows you to activate roaming on a need be basis. If unsure, you can reconfirm this by logging in to your MyBell account and checking your: Plan, add-on & travel details.

If this is the case, to remove these restrictions, you will need to contact Bell Mobility Customer Service. Please call: 1-800-667-0123  or dial *611 from any Bell mobile device. It can be removed immediately while you are online with the service representative.

The Bell Global 365 Travel Pass can also be added to your account at this same time.

Let us know if we can be of further help.

Take care.

Thanks for your response  but my question was something else.  What makes you eligible for the Global 365 Travel Pass

Hi Welsh Terrier. Thanks for your response. The only answer I received was it may be a business plan benefit. But I know others who have it that arent on a business plan.   My wife and I have the following plans.

BRS BYOD Ultimate US/MX 200GB + Crave Basic on us
EPP 2-yr Ultimate US 100GB

And the only options on our accounts are the daily roaming and the $70 -14 day plan.  We are travelling to Germany and Italy next month.

after spending an hour on hold while my lovely agent conferred with her supervisor,  i was told i was not illegible for the 365 roam. I don't understand how bell picks and chooses who to give it to. I will remember this when choosing my next mobility plan. If a customer calls up and asks specifically for a program that they read about, they should be offered the program. Price matching would be nice. I spent thousands with bell a year for years.

I am a subscriber to the Global 365 Travel Pass. However I'm wondering if I should use WiFi when available (at hotels etc.) when Im travelling?

Good Day.

I am not quite sure I follow your question.

The Global 365-day Travel Pass, valid in Roam Better destinations, provides you with unlimited talk and text to Canada within eligible international countries, plus access to your data while roaming. The pass is immediately activated once you add it to your account, and it expires 365 days later at 11:59 p.m. (ET). It is a prepaid, non-refundable pass that replaces any daily roaming charges for eligible destinations.

Bell customers with Global 365 Travel Pass, can use a hotel's Wi-Fi. If you are using the hotel's Wi-Fi, then you are not using your cellular data. You cannot use Wi-Fi calling from outside of Canada.

Thank you for posting your question.

How did you get access to enrolling to the Global 365 Travel Pass? I logged into MyBell account and do not see any link to that offer. Is there a phone number that I can call to enroll?

  1. There cannot be any restriction on international calling in place on your account.
  2. Phones on prepaid plans do not qualify for Roam Better or Bell Travel Passes.
  3. Roam Better and Travel Passes are not available on all corporate accounts.

If you meet all of the qualifiers mentioned earlier and are eligible for the offer, this can be added on to your account by selecting your Mobility service and selecting Travel Add-ons.

Please advise and we will do our best to assist in resolving you issue and question.
