I have an iPhone 13. When I drive around Montreal I lose the signal - both cellular and data for a few moments. I see 4 dots for the voice signal and no label for the data. Within 10 seconds the signal comes back with 2-3 bars and a 5G+ label. Then it returns to a 5G label. It hasn’t happened when I’ve been on a call. It sometimes happens when I’m using data (eg. Waze, Spotify). It has been happening to many friends and family members who are not on the same plan as me.
When I reported it to Bell they said it was due to an issue with a tower in or near Côte St Luc with no estimate of when it would be fixed. It happens in NDG, CDN, TMR, Westmount, Hampstead and downtown.
Anyone else have this problem? Bell moderators, any solution?

Hey there @Maverick1, @BrandonB, @Juno and @cheechoo,
Welcome to the Community and thanks for your posts.
After a quick research, we've noticed that many iPhone users were experiencing different issues after a recent IOS update that could have been the cause of your concerns, however a new update has been released since.

Thank you for your comments. I have an ongoing similar experience with dropping signal as my iPhone 15 Pro switches between 5G, LTE and 4G, as well as when I drop into valleys along the highway. I live in rural Ontario. The dropped signal is also noticeable when I switch towers during highway travelling. It usually picks up after a few seconds. Having had a cell phone since 1990 (the first one was the size of a briefcase and permanently mounted in the car), I recognize that this is the nature of the technology. Could it be better? Absolutely. Will it be better? Sometimes I wonder how it even works at all. Thanks again for your comments.

I’m having the same problem in Alberta - I contacted bell over the chat in the bell app and it took an hour for them to tell me I need to have two iPhones both with bell in order to test my SIM card and that was the only way to solve this - no solution but this is happening nation wide with no proper answers from bell

Good to know. Think I'll wait to change devices a little longer in this case.

I upgraded to an iPhone 15 Pro and I activated it with the sim card that was shipped with it.
Since it has been activated, my new phone has been connecting and disconnecting for a few seconds at a time to 3G.
It shows I have service with bell but 3g turns on and off.

I have an i-phone 11 and never had issues with another provider in or outside of the home (I reside in Westmount). I switched to Bell Mobility since I am serviced with Bell for all devices in my home. Lately, I've been experiencing signal loses during conversation in the home. Cutting in and out and sometimes losing connection all together. Moving around in the home trying to find a "spot" where connection may last without issues is a challenge. I called Bell Mobility tech support who told me they are experiencing this issue since 2022 and the only resolution is to build a tower due to low network coverage in the area of Cote St. Luc and Westmount. They have been collecting data since 2022 and I have my doubts this will be resolved any time soon since they haven't made any advancements in 2 years. It's a shame I wasn't told about this issue that Bell was aware of when I signed up. BTW: I and other users in my area I have spoken to are all caught up with updates and although it may be the cause to the issue, it is not. It would be helpful if Bell were to reach out to their mobility clients providing an explanation or another solution. Does anyone on this forum have a suggestion? Thank you.
