Hey there @Mike2

Welcome to the Community.

Yes, you can insert your SIM card into another unlocked phone and it should work if it is compatible with our network.

If you have Smart/Phone Care, check out Protect your phone with a Smart/Phone Care planOpens in a new tab or window to learn how to order a replacement.

Hello I have a cracked Camera on my s22 ultra and also I have a smartphone care plan will I get it repaired for free.

Hi there @Jj125.

Welcome to the Community.

If you're within the first year of your agreement with us, we would recommend following the manufacturer's warranty program for any repairs or replacements. For Samsung phones specifically, you can check out this link for their Warranty InformationOpens in a new tab or window

If you're in the second year of your agreement with us, you can take a look our page on How to protect my mobile phone with Smart/Phone CareOpens in a new tab or window, especially under Device Eligibility & Replacement Fee to calculate the specific replacement fee for your phone.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

I have a small crack in the glass protector at the side omg phone…doesn’t look like it’s through to screen

does my phone care plan cover repair or replacement of glass protector?

Yes & No. If the screen is cracked, it is covered under Smart /Phone Protection. If you purchased a screen protector, case, headphones, etc., then these items would not be covered.

I would suggest that you review your agreement & for more information:

Speak to an in-store Bell Mobility representative, visit bell.ca/SPC or call 1 800 667-0123.

I have also attached a link to better assist you in what is covered & is not covered.

Just recently cracked my bottom half of my screen, now my fingerprints won't work at all. Should I just get it repaired?

Good question.... Do you own it? Is it on a Smart / Phone Care Plan? The manufacture will not cover the repair. If you have a Bell Smart/Care Plan, it is more than likely covered? How old is your device? If you are going to do a repair, get an estimate. Next time, invest in a screen protector & case cover.

If you are going to get a new phone, may I suggest that you consider the following:

If there is any physical damage to your mobile device, it is not covered under the manufactures warranty. The Smart/Care program covers physical damage & defects beyond the manufacturers warranty if purchased at the time of sale; or within 30 days if brought in to a Bell store & the device is inspected & found to be defect free.

Smart/Phone Care

When you buy a new mobile device, it comes with a limited 12-month warranty for manufacturer’s defects and malfunctions. Smart/Phone Care gives you additional coverage and peace of mind, knowing that you don’t have to pay the full replacement value of your device. Find your device’s replacement fee (from $50 to $599) in the event you require a replacement.

The Smart/Phone Care plan covers your device for:

  • Defects in parts and workmanship beyond the manufacturer's standard warranty period
  • Physical damage (i.e., cracked screen)
  • Electronic damage (i.e., power surge)
  • Liquid damage
  • Loss or theft
  • Normal wear and tear

Smart/Phone Care covers one device and allows for up to two replacements.

It does not cover SIM cards or accessories such as batteries, chargers and smartwatch bands.

Most phones, smartphones, smartwatches, tablets and Turbo Sticks are eligible for Smart/Phone Care. Unless otherwise agreed to by Bell, you must enroll in Smart/Phone Care in store, either when you activate your device or within 30 days of your activation date. If you purchased your new device online within the last 30 days and wish to enroll in the program, please visit your nearest Bell store.

If you don’t enroll at the time you purchase your device, you must bring your device with you to the store to enroll. We’ll verify that your service and account status are active and inspect your device, since damaged or defective devices are not eligible for the plan.

Hey there, I am on a 2year contract right now. So no I don't officially own it. I'm pretty sure it's on a care and i think its almost 2 years old. I do have a case and everything, it's been fantastic with no cracks but yesterday it just dropped the wrong way and massive cracks especially on the fingerprint. I'll have to see about the care plan and try and get it fixed before I get rid of it. Thank you I'll definitely take your advice

Device warranty? Are you talking manufactures warranty? or Are did you purchase Bell - Smart/Phone Care Plan?

The manufacturers warranty is for one year. It will not cover screen damage.

If you purchase Bell - Smart/Phone Care Plan within 30 days of receiving your new device & you have  this monthly enhanced warranty plan, then it would be cover per the terms of your warranty.

For more information, speak to an Belli in-store representative, visit bell.ca/SPC or call 1 800 667-0123.

How do I replace my phone's battery?

I have smart care plan on my phone and my screen is cracked. I am wondering if someone in store would fix it or if I would have to send my phone to another company?
