Can I change my billing date

Can I change the billing date for my accounts? The date that was arbitrarily assigned is inconvenient and is out of sync with every other household bill I pay.

It is not recommended that you change your billing date, however if you so desire, you can do so.

If you wish to change your billing date, you will need to contact Bell Customer Service Billing & Orders: - 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or #611 from any Bell mobile device.

Should you choose to change your billing date from the current billing cycle, this change will result in proration in the following invoice.

How do I postpone a bill?

I am not quite sure I fully understand your question. "How do I postpone a bill?" Can you please elaborate on what you mean by this?

Is this an existing or new Bell Mobility service?  Are you looking to change the activation date, billing date or cancel a new or existing service? Are you wishing to change or extend the due date for your bill payment?

In order to answer your question, we would need for you to tell us a lot more. Billing issues such as this are not handled on the Bell Community Forum. This is a peer-to-peer website. As such, we do not have access to your account and billing records.

My payment date is only 3 days before my next billing date. This results in my bill always showing that the previous payment was not made. This has happened since “the new billing system” came into effect.  I spoke with someone from Bell resolution who refused to listen to my question and kept threatening to hang up. Eventually I was told that payment dates were tied to postal codes and can’t be changed. I’ve been either Bell for 40 years and lately it has been all about sales and not service. How do I get my payment date changed?

You cannot change your payment date. You can however change your billing date. By changing your billing date, this will automatically change your bill due date. It is not recommended that you change your billing date, however if you so desire, you can do so.

Bell bills are due 30 days after the billing date, which remains consistent each month. Payments made after the due date are accepted but may not be reflected on your next bill. Late payment fees may apply for payments received after 30 days from the billing date. Bell updates payment information on their system once they receive the funds from your financial institution, which can take varying amounts of time. When & how you pay your monthly bill are within your circle of influence & are not predetermined & set out by Bell.

Your account is credited when Bell receives the funds from your financial institution. This timeline can vary from 1 - 18 days. The chart I have included in this reply is only a reference point for you to use. It is intended to allow you sufficient time to pay your bill by the due date.
