Cancelling Bell Mobility Plan

Justinian532Quebec

Hello, I got a Bell Mobility plan while I was studying in Canada, but I wish to cancel my plan with Bell for the remainder of my studies. Can I do this online, or do I have to call Bell to do so, or does it have to be in-person? Thank you!

Cancelling your monthly Bell Mobility service

Keep in mind the following:

After deactivation, a final bill will be generated on your regular billing date.

Some charges (e.g., international roaming) may take longer to generate and may need to be billed separately at a later date. All charges will be billed within 90 days of your cancellation date.

If your service is cancelled (by you or by Bell) in the middle of a billing period, you will receive a prorated refund for monthly fees billed at the beginning of the billing period that apply to the period after cancellation of your services.

Your usage will be prorated based on the length of time remaining in your billing period at the time of cancellation. Additional usage charges incurred on any services that you use in addition to the prorated usage included in your monthly plan will be billed as overage.

If your service is subject to a commitment period and you cancel it before the end date, a cancellation fee will apply. For details, please refer to the Bell Mobility Terms of Service.

Should you choose to cancel your service, contact us and let us know the date you want the cancellation to be effective.

Cancelling your prepaid Bell Mobility service

If you do not wish to continue your prepaid service, please be aware that any balance remaining on the account at deactivation will be lost and non-refundable.

Thank you for reaching out to the Bell Community Forum.

Take care.

Dear Welsh Terrier,  Many thanks for your information.  I have now officially cancelled the mobility part of my account.  The Bell staff I spoke with were very helpful and polite.  The process went smoothly.   Kind regards, Rainham1

I want to cancel one of the two mobile lines on my account. How do I do that? Do I have to call their horrible support line, or can I do it on mybell.ca? Or can I do it in a Bell store?

Many thanks!

dks

Thank you for your question. As this is a peer to peer support community, we have no access to account matters. I suggest you contact Bell at 1-866-310-2355 or attend a Bell store. The latter may also answer your questions more easily.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

Thank you for contacting the community forum. As you know, this is a peer-to-peer website. As such, we do not have access to your account & equipment records.

In order to cancel your Internet service, you need to contact Bell before returning your equipment. This cannot be completed online. Returning your rental equipment does not cancel your service. To cancel Internet, TV, and Home phone, you will need to call: 310-BELL or 1-866-310-BELL (2355)

Final bills:

  • Your final bill will arrive within 40 days after cancellation.  Your final bill may include the following items:

Final regular monthly charges:

  • If your service is cancelled (by you or by Bell) in the middle of a billing period, you will receive a prorated refund for monthly fees billed at the beginning of the billing period that apply to the period after the cancellation of your services.

Early cancellation fees (if applicable):

  • If you are cancelling your Bell services and you are still within the contract period, you may be subject to early cancellation fees. The amount depends on the service and will be added to your final bill.

Equipment returns

  • If you are currently renting equipment such as TV receivers or modems, you will need to return these to Bell.

Note: Do not return your rented equipment to a Bell store.

After your service is cancelled, return instructions will be sent to you by mail within 10 business days. The letter will include a prepaid shipping label for free returns. If you wish to return your equipment prior to receiving the shipping label or if the label does not arrive within 10 business days, visit bell.ca/equipmentreturn.

Take care.

How do I close out and pay for my deceased sons Bell mobile phone and account?

Good Day.

Thank you for reaching out to the Bell Community Forum.

Please accept our sincerest condolences on your recent loss. These are tough times, and I only wish I could do something more to alleviate & reduce the pain & anguish that you are experiencing today.

This is a peer-to-peer website. As such, we do not have access to your son's account & equipment records.

To cancel a deceased Bell account, you should contact Bell directly. You can call 310-BELL or 1-866-310-BELL (2355). You may need to provide proof of the death, such as a death certificate, or a copy of the death certificate. The estate will be responsible for any outstanding charges and monthly/usage fees until the service is cancelled or ownership is transferred.

I have included the following web link that I am hoping will be of assistance to you. Please have a look at it. If you have any further questions, do not hesitate in reaching out to me once again.

What to do after a death
