Credit Union not listed for preauthorized payments from bank account

My credit union branch is not in the list when I am supposed to select my bank. I was told via chat there is no way to add it. How is that possible? SOMEONE must be able to add to this list! Any info on that?  Thanks

Out of curiosity, why is there no 'Other' option where a user can input a bank number directly. It seems like the information being requested is just the information from a void cheque, except that instead of a bank number, Bell has a drop down with a predefined list. Is there a reason an option like this couldn't be added?

A very good question. I do not have a clear cut answer to provide you with. This is best answered by someone at Bell.

In the real world today, fraud, scams, & identify thefts are affecting all of us. Thieves are not only impersonating you, but also your suppliers & financial institution.

 At the end of the day, it is your choice of financial institution & your responsibility for your bill payment.

Caution is the better of valour. I would rather be more safe than sorry.

I agree. Security and fraud prevention are higher priorities. That’s a good thing.

Kingston Community Credit Union is not listed for setting up pre-authorised payments. Can KCCU be added please?

I feel your pain.  I have had the exact same experience, keep seeing the same useless canned replies from the moderators, the phone reps are friendly but provide zero help in resolving what is a very simple issue.  Many, many months ago they said they will add my credit union  to the list of approved financial institutions for pre authorized payments, but can't say when this will be (as if it is some kind of complicated issue!).  I am completely fed up with Bell and their abhorrent customer service and seriously regret the decision to leave my previous provider

Hello all

i thought it might interest you to know the following:

I found a Bell “Monthly Pre-authorized payment form” which I completed and tried to fax to the number on the form (877 666-0196). Found a second fax number (800-886-4137). Neither number worked. 
I’m bound to say this process is more than a little frustrating. Bell encourages me to sign up for PAD, but in my case it appears to be impossible. I still hope to see my Credit Union listed but I’m guessing I’ll be paying the extra $10 per month. Sorry about the rant!

Last May I looked for First Ontario Credit Union on the Bell Canada list for preauthorized payments, and it wasn't there -- although, confusingly, its institution number was there, allocated to another credit union.  Since I also have a TD account, I used that instead; Bell can handle that much more easily.  Today I looked to see whether First Ontario Credit Union was on the list, and it WAS.  It may have been there for a while, for all I know.  So at some point since last May, Bell made a successful update.

We've forwarded the missing institution to be verified and corrected. 

One thing to keep in mind, any updates of the sort may take some time to be corrected. With this being said, check for app updates and the list periodically to see when it will be updated. 

@Jane Doe  , we've reviewed the list and Island Savings A Division was added shortly after your original post. If you're using the app and it is not populating, make sure the app is updated to it's latest version. If it is still not populating, you can try clearing the apps cache. If you're trying via a web browser, try clearing the browsers cookies and cache and try again.
