Security Deposit Return

Since I signed up with bell a few months ago I have gotten great service with no complaints until today when I called to arrange for my security deposit back. The customer service representative was great she took care of all my questions. The sad thing is that she informed me that when I signed up with bell a few months ago I was lied to about my security deposit the girl that signed me up told me I would get it back in 4 months but now I find out it’s 6 months. Now I have to wait another 2 full months before getting my security deposit back. Not good at all.

Bell may require a refundable security (or safety) deposit because of a credit rating or usage charges. This may happen at any time during the term of your service agreement. They should be providing you with a reason for the deposit. You can review your service agreement in MyBell > My Services > Mobilty > Plan & device > Device detail > View my Bell Mobility agreement

Generally speaking, when the conditions justifying the deposit have changed (typically, when you make six monthly bill payments in a row, in full and on time) the security deposit is applied to any outstanding balance owing or refunded to you.

I have included the following web link if still are not satisfied with the deposit explanation that you have been given.

I was informed that the deposit is returned to the same account. Please confirmed.

In some cases, because of credit rating or usage charges, Bell may require a refundable security (or safety) deposit. This may happen at any time during the term of your service agreement. Bell will give you the reason why they are asking for a deposit. When the conditions justifying the security deposit no longer apply (typically when you make six monthly bill payments in a row, in full and on time), Bell will apply the security deposit and any earned interest against any outstanding amount owing, then refund you the balance of the deposit, if any, within 30 days.

I see my security deposit credited into my account. How can I get it back to my credit card or bank account. Or it is going to be adjusted with my monthly payments?

Please let me know.

Thanks.

Did u get ur deposit back now nd how is the process I just got my iPhone from bell nd I deposited 500$ said it’s gonna be refund after 6months hope I don’t meet any stress when the time comes

I collected 15pro max guess that’s why  I have there receipt and every document that says I pay the money with me the sales person that attended to me said it’s either they refund it or I don’t have to pay for the next 6months that they will deduct the money from my security deposit that’s it’s gonna appear on my bell bill

You sure will - sad to say. I pay my Bell Fibe bill the day it is received and it has been 8 months they have had my $250 security deposit (NOTE: My score is 815 and I wanted to protect it from the hard hit by Bell so offered a deposit). It has been a song and dance for over 2 months now as to why I am not getting MY funds back.  One rep says cheque on the way, another says deposit no longer shows on account, another advised cheque should have been sent 2 months ago. I have been directed now to the CCTS: which is a government agency set up specifically to deal with complaints about telecom companies. Good luck!

If only this was actually true. (see above from Bell on refunds automatic after 6 months paying your bill).

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum

I wish I could assist you in resolving this matter, but I can not do so. As a member of this forum, I can offer up ideas, suggestions & possible solutions.

We do not have access to your account or billing records on this site. I would suggest that you once again contact Bell Customer Service explaining your issue & if you do not received a satisfactory answer from the service representative, then ask to speak to a manager.

When a security deposit is returned, Bell normally applies the security deposit and any earned interest against any outstanding amount owing, then will refund you the balance of the deposit, if any, within 30 days.

Thank you for contacting the Bell Community Forum.

Take care.
