We have been rural Bell customers for 12+ years now with Bell Satellite TV. I don't know if we own our recievers or not, but we aren't being charged any rental fee. Or we eligible for any free receiver upgrades? It seems like there are newer recievers out there than what we have and wondering what we have to do to get one or two?

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
This is a community forum, a peer-to-peer website. As such we do not have access to your account and equipment records. It is somewhat difficult to answer your question in terms of satellite receiver ownership. Bell maintains equipment ownership and rental records for all receivers on an account.
Bell does not normally provide free upgrades satellite receivers. Bell has sold new & refurbished receivers previously.
Bell charges a monthly rentaI fee for each tv receiver a customer wishes to obtain as part of their satellite service. This rental fee will drop off of your bill if you meet the following criteria:
- If you rent your receiver without default for 60 consecutive months, you may continue to use it at no charge for as long as you are a Bell TV customer. The receiver remains Bell’s property. You may terminate your rental at any time provided you return the receiver (early termination fees on programming may apply). Receivers may be new or refurbished at Bell’s choice.
- You should be able to see where you are at in terms of the number of months you have rented in the 60 continuous months. After the 60 months, the rental charge for that specific piece of equipment will be automatically removed from your bill.
There are definitely newer models of satellite receivers offered by Bell that are available for purchase or on a month to month rental. I have included a web link to the Bell Satellite receiver equipment online site.

If you are an existing customer, you can install additional receivers that you have purchased yourself. HD PVR must be installed professionally due to their complexity.
If you are renting your receivers, from Bell, a professional install is always required.
To best answer any further equipment questions you might have, I would suggest that you review your Satellite TV account details on MyBell and then contact Bell Satellite TV Customer Service. They will be able to fully answer any questions you might have in terms of your existing equipment and changes that you wish to consider.
Please call Bell Customer Service Satellite TV at: 1 888 759-3474
Take care.
