Now that SD receivers are being phased out but I can only rent HD receivers from bell, can I still buy a second hand HD revceiver to add to my account? I have 2-4100 receivers that I need to replace.

Hi there @Seaclusion
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
Yes, you can purchase a second hand receiver and add it to your account. Please ensure to get the receiver number before purchasing and check with our support team to make sure it can be added. If a receiver is marked as a rental equipment or stolen, it will not be able to be activated on your profile.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Community.

Hello;
My parents have a pair of 6400 ExpressVu receivers and one of them is starting to die. Every few days the sound stops working and you have to unplug the receiver and plug it back in to get sound back. The receiver is close to 10 years old at this point. They DO NOT want to rent a receiver from bell nor do they want one of the newer whole home pvr's. I have found a local seller that has a pair of 6400's available on kijiji. What are the steps to activate a used receiver on their account. I can see the current receivers when logged in to Bell but cannot find a spot to add a receiver.
I don't see any red flags on the kijiji seller, the account is well established and it seems like a lot to scam my parents out of $50 for an old satellite receiver. They are set on buying the 2 receivers as a backup for their current setup.
Thanks for any insight on this.
