Can anyone confirm if TSN2 also enables TSN+ web streaming on the TSN.ca website?

Hi folks;

Apparently the TSN.ca Formula 1 Multiplex streaming  feature now requires a TSN+ subscription. Simply having Bell Sat TV TSN1,3,4 and 5 subscriptions no longer allows F1 Multiplex streaming on the TSN.ca website when logged in with Bell credentials  - it used to until recently?!?

What I cannot seem to determine is the relationship between the TSN2 Sat TV channel subscription and the TSN+ subscription on TSN.ca, if any.

Anyone happen to know? I tried several times to use Live Chat - got disconnected (Server disconnected messages) every time, so I gave up.

Thanks for any insight.

Cheers

It says explicitly “stand-alone”. https://www.tsn.ca/tsnplus What you get from pay tv sub is “TSN Direct”.

Hi there @SF3L
Thanks for your post.
TSN+ is not available to add on through your Bell TV account and would need to be subscribed to directly through the TSN website.

Hi, and thanks for the very prompt reply!

*Sigh*, I was afraid of that. F1's explosive growth in popularity has made this move kinda inevitable...greedy bastiges, lol!

Again - thanks for the answer and link.

It’s probably related to the market too. I know lots of people don’t know Bell allows modifications of the lineup unlimited for most channels except Starter and Premium Sports, so they won’t even consider Fibe TV app/formerly alt tv packs even if the entrance price to add Popular Sports on TV is merely $10/mo without any negotiation. Additionally, the complaints about TSN Direct price is an old issue, although it has lots of channels beyond TSN 1-5. So Bell has to spin off those extra channels and add more content to the standalone TSN+.

Well, it appears as though it is NOT just 'Standalone' ....

This is what you see when you attempt to add TSN+ via their website:

TSN+TSN+

 Note the "OR in addition to your cable package" comment. Now I'm confused... would be nice if a Bell rep cleared this up.

That’s interesting. I cannot see this page if I login my Bell acct. through the TV provider option. Do you see the same wording when trying to subscribe TSN Direct? It could be the website designer simply copied and pasted the same stuff.
