Can you record longer than 30 minutes after end?

I lost end of Blue jays opener and last of home run derby.

Hopefully Bell takes this as suggestion.  Rogers was 3 hours

Need more recording extension than 30 minutes. OT hockey and extra ends in curling are missed you have to fix this uo

Good Day.

You can only set your to "Stop recording" Fibe TV Cloud PVR at the scheduled time for any one of the following time stop time increments: 5min., 10min., 15min., 30min.

Your only other option would be to record the program that is coming on afterwards.

Take care.

Why is pvr extended recording time only 30 minutes? Again this weekend, I missed the end of The Masters + long ball game?

Not a good solution.  I record several overlapping playoff games and the problem with your solution is the name.e of the program following my recording is sports center.  Consequently is etr a bunch of sport centers the other day and the one I brought up spoiled the end of one of the games I was watching

You need a 1 and 1.5 hour options on the recording.  Not sure what the big deal with providing this.  It's not as if we don't pay ridiculous amounts for the tv service.  We are the customers and we want the extra time.

By the way I am on your new fibe cloud system.  The older system allowed you much longer recordings.

Do we have any news from Bell about this issue it's becoming really annoying now that it's playoff season and we have to find the game make sure we tape after the game and even we need to record two programs after that game because the next program is only half an hour long

There wasn't a single playoff game in hockey or basketball that ended in the alloted tv grid scheduled time, add to that none of the jays games or end within the alloted time.  The 30 minute addition fails to cover these averages and if you add subsequent shows as a way of further extending time as was suggested in this group, your going to get a slew of additional sport centers an your going to have to figure out which sprtcenter goes with each extended game.  It's 2025 and this is the best of what bell is offering to their customers.  Ps.  If we were allowed the 1 tour extensions I would have been able to comfortably catch the end of each of these sporting events in one recording.  So what will it take to move this from a suggestion to the action of giving us more extended time oe a flexible end time in recording.

This is the only feature I'm still waiting on.
I can live with the pixelation and occasional need to reboot—that's manageable. But when it comes to recording sports events, it's honestly frustrating. I have to manually search for the channel and then schedule a few programs after the game just to make sure I catch the ending. Sometimes I forget, and I end up missing the last part of the game.

I don’t understand why adding a simple “+1 hour” recording option is such a challenge. We’re already doing it manually—why not make it easier?

Someone at Bell really needs to take a look at these posts and start prioritizing what loyal customers are asking for. Small improvements like this could go a long way in keeping us happy.

when recording on VIP7802 box is there a way to set the recording to record past the stop time ... in old box I could set the recording to additional 60 + minutes ... in the 7802 box its limited to ... I believe 15 minutes

I agree there has to be an option to record an extra 1-3 hours

It all has to do with the fact that the recordings are going to the cloud and storage that Bell has to pay for. They are clearly doing this to limit the amount of storage all users can use. Since we dont pay directly for individual storage Bell is trying to keep their costs down. The same reason is why they force deletion of our recordings after 60 days. When we had a PVR with local storage then they didnt have to worry about escalating storage used and the cost to them. It was locally stored so the impact was direct on each person. So either they need to increase and eat the cost or come up with a better solution. As it clear this isnt working.

You have hit the nail on the head. Cloud storage capacity is neither unlimited nor free. Someone always has to pay. In this case, you are correct. Bell is, I believe, limiting storage capacity as a cost containment strategy. Most of us are digital hoarders of one kind or another.

Not really Interested in bella mistaken cloud strategy as an explanation of a defe tive service. Clients such as myself, who spend quite a bit on tv and are wondering why stay with bell if I can't enjoy the service I am paying for.  I'd prefer them either increasing the time allotment than having to cancel them.  If leave they'll have no income and lots of expense.
