I noticed the following announcements on my April 2025 bill for my Bell services. This is for Satellite TV customers only. Given that many don't see announcements, this is an advance notice for you, if you use these services.

  • Starting June 1, 2025, On Demand content and Pay-per-view movies will no longer be available through your Satellite TV receiver(s). Don't worry, On Demand content is still available through the Fibe TV app and you can still enjoy Pay-per-view live events. Also note that the way recordings can be managed is changing. You'll just need to manage them through your PVR and the Fibe TV app separately. For more info on the Fibe TV app, please visit bell.ca/apptv
  • As of May 20, WildBrainTV, Family Channel, Family Junior and Télémagino will no longer be offered. For questions or to add, cancel or modify your services, call 1 866 310-2355.

Hi Folks,

Up until yesterday I could access my recorded programs on my Bell 9400 receiver through the Fibe app on my Apple TV.

Today, the Fibe app says no recorded shows, however I have many on my reciever?

Why all of a sudden can i not access my recorded shows on my Apple TV Fibe app?

Any help would be appreciated,

PS- I have restarted my router switch and the Apple TV with no success.

Hi there @Lindy66

Welcome to the Bell community.

You can easily install the Fibe TV app on many different devices. Simply go to the app store on your device, search for the Fibe TV app and then select install.

Take a look at Installing the appOpens in a new tab or window to learn which devices are compatible with the Bell Fibe TV app and more details on how to use it.

The community is here for you if you need any more help.

@BellPatricia

So Bell really doesn’t understand the issue. Because I do not have 4 smart TVs I am now forced to watch on demand programming on my wireless device which is a smartphone. No longer will I be able to watch an on demand tv show with family or friends. Bell’s only solution is to download the app and watch on my phone or to purchase more devices. So much for taking care of customers, profits over service. Time to look elsewhere if this cannot be addressed.

I don’t need Bell’s help with installing the app, I don’t need everyone from Bell saying I can now control everything with the app, I don’t need everyone from Bell telling me that I can watch on demand on a multitude of devices; I need bell to address the problem that I can no longer watch on demand on any of my TVs with friends and family because I do not have smart TVs or streaming devices on my TV - that’s what my receiver did until June 1st !
Why isn’t Bell providing updated receivers with the on demand app installed, why isn’t Bell providing smart TVs, why isn’t Bell listening to its customers?  The answer is profits over people!

A few days ago I noticed that all the recordings and all the scheduled recordings have disappeared from my Bell fibe app on my iPad. I’ve rebooted the receiver 4 times. Rebooted the modem and clears out the cache on my iPad. And twice deleted the app and downloaded it again. Still not working. I tried Bell support and was put through to two different people who just did the same things that I did and then was given a number to call but it was $3 per minute so I’m not doing that. Can someone help me to get back to the recordings so I can watch them on my iPad?

We have the same problem. So has my neighbour. All my downloads as well. This has to be a fairly widespread glitch.
hopefully it is investigated and fixed.

Might they have expired? Saved videos older than a certain limit are removed.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

@Q10 @MFG01 Which Bell TV service do you subscribe to? Fibe TV, Fibe TV App, or Satellite TV.

There have been some recent changes that took effect on June 1, 2025.

If you subscribe to Bell Satllite TV, recordings are now being managed separately on the Fibe TV app & on your satellite PVR. This change in programming was announced & included in the Important messages section of your Bell April 2025 bill.

We record multiple programmes/movies daily. EVERYTHING gone.
I was in error earlier, downloads are still there, but everything else is gone.

Please explain. Are you saying the PVR and Fibe app have been…decoupled?

If I record something on the PVR I cannot watch it on the Fibe app?

if I set up the recording via the Fibe app, I cannot watch it via the PVR?

Good Day.

That is correct if you subscribe to Bell Satellite TV. Recordings are now being managed separately on the Fibe TV app & on your satellite PVR. You can no longer record on one and watch on the other & vice versa. You are still able to record & playback on the Fibe TV app. Recording on your satellite PVR receiver are no longer accessible on the Fibe TV app. & vice versa with your satellite PVR.

This is awful. Only solution is to go buy a smart tv if I want to watch OnDemand on my TV. I don’t understand if my bell receiver is connected to my internet to watch apps like Netflix why can’t they add the Bell App so I can access and watch OnDemand on my TV. I’m retired with no budget for a new tv. Very upset about this.
