I noticed the following announcements on my April 2025 bill for my Bell services. This is for Satellite TV customers only. Given that many don't see announcements, this is an advance notice for you, if you use these services.

  • Starting June 1, 2025, On Demand content and Pay-per-view movies will no longer be available through your Satellite TV receiver(s). Don't worry, On Demand content is still available through the Fibe TV app and you can still enjoy Pay-per-view live events. Also note that the way recordings can be managed is changing. You'll just need to manage them through your PVR and the Fibe TV app separately. For more info on the Fibe TV app, please visit bell.ca/apptv
  • As of May 20, WildBrainTV, Family Channel, Family Junior and Télémagino will no longer be offered. For questions or to add, cancel or modify your services, call 1 866 310-2355.

Do you have Internet service? If so, you will be able to access On Demand content and Pay-per-view live events through the Fibe TV app. With Bell Satellite TV, you get access to Fibe TV app.

With the Fibe TV app, you can use your TV service to your tablet, smartphone, laptop and on your TV. You can Record, watch live and on-demand channels, pause and rewind live TV and search for content easily.

The way recordings can be managed is changing. You'll just need to manage them through your PVR and the Fibe TV app separately.

Take care.

You may have an issue if you are on DSL service but not Wireless Home Internet.

Bell Fiber tv or mts bell fiber tv is an app that can be downloaded from the android store, you would need an android box or android tv, I use the nivida shield, it's the best of the best but you can get like a 40 or 50 dollar media box off amazon. Bell fiber tv is available everywhere. So your statement is wrong, if your watching on demand then you have internet, if you have internet then you can download the app end of story.

Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately, Bell fibre or any fibre optic internet, is not available in many parts of Canada, even in major urban centres. While there is fibre being laid, it is certainly not as widely available as we are led to believe. That is why Bell has a variety of options for internet available including dialup points of presence for business accounts.

As a satellite tv customer this is disappointing to have to add a device to watch on demand content or pay per view. The main TV we watch cannot download the Fibe tv app so this seems like a ploy to sell Fibe tv boxes.

I've have been a faithful Bell costumer for years, I'm upset with Bell taking away and forcing us to go to fib. Giving costumers reason to move to other providers.

As a Bell Satellite customer since 1998 it has been going down in class and quality.  Express-Vu was a great service with incredible service and customer reps.

bell has been running it down for the past decade plus, starting with locking into out of date hardware and reduced options and programming.

the communication from them is after they don’t bother to get feedback.

So I look up this morning on the mobile Fibe TV app, after a couple of weeks of weirdly timed (shorter total running time and starting before time thus really cutting the end short, or manually set recordings of the last hour of a two-hour program giving me the first hour) cloud copies of the recordings on my satellite PVRs, and now I do not have the possibility to access any PVR, only previously TV shows saved to my phone (a small number, meant to watch on the go, which was just fantastic). Obviously, it feels like a letdown.

Now On demand is gone for Bell satellite customers. I am not happy. I use it very often. Supposed to be able to download fibe app and still get it. I don’t know how to do that. I am a senior. I asked for help but they just tell me to download the app. If you are taking services away then the price should be reduced. Now I will be forced to go back to Rogers to get on demand service.

I no longer see my receivers on the settings list and can’t see my recording in the bell five app

That just happened to me as of a few hours ago. But I have read an email that the bell Fibe app does its own recordings now and you can record unlimited shows at the same time. So it looks like our receiver recordings are now only available on the receiver and not through the app 😳

Beyond disappointing, I have a family setup with 4 receivers and 4 TVs. Now I have to buy 4 new smart TVs or 4 media devices to access the services I already pay for. Bell is disadvantaging clients like me. Time to look for an another provider that cares about all customers.

Which Bell TV service do you subscribe to? Fibe TV, Fibe TV App or Bell Satellite? How are you accessing the Fibe TV app?

If you subscribe to Bell Satellite TV, starting June 1, 2025, On Demand content and Pay-per-view movies will no longer be available through your Satellite TV receiver(s). Don't worry, On Demand content is still available through the Fibe TV app and you can still enjoy Pay-per-view live events.
