Fibe TV - TV stays on and after a few seconds forces the receiver to turn back on.

Our Fibe TV ran the upgrade today, and now the TV will never shut off.  Using the power button on the Fibe Remote will power off the receiver for a few seconds, but the television stays on and after a few seconds forces the receiver to turn back on.

Have rebooted Fibe a few times, have reset and re-paired the remote.

It was the Bell Fibe box upgrade is when things stopped working properly. (1-2 years ago?) I have been living with it, but it is a bit of a pain.

The same Bell Fibe box works ok on another older Sony TV, and on another newer Sony TV. But I have two Sony Bravia TVs (65” and 75”) bought in 2019 that no longer function properly after the upgrade. When you use the Bell Fibe remote to turn off the TV, the Bell File box turns off, the TV turns off, then they both turn on again. I have tried changing HDMI cables, ensuring I am in the HDMI ARC input, and set the appropriate settings for CEC on the TV. Like I mentioned it was all working before the Bell Fibe update a while ago.

Hey there @GG77

Thank you for your reply 🙂

Which CEC setting do you currently have selected?

Please disable CEC in your TV settings, then test to see if everything is working.

Keep us posted,
