Is there a setting for getting the last channel viewed automatically when turning Bell Fibe on?

I don't think I said to turn on to a specific channel. However to turn on the last channel I had before I turned off the pvr rather then reverting to the home. Or guide screen everytime. I turn it on.

It's annoying everytime. I turn on the box it. Goes to home screen when I want live tv channels that I last watched at.

I am using an generic Google TV Android box and it does not auto tune to last channel watched. It is actually worse than that. If I am watching channel  cuz and want to change to another channel it almost always reverts to the basic 2 digit channels and I have to go back to the 4 digit channel I was watching. It is very painful. The recording function does not work consistently. Sometimes it sets the flag but most of the time it does not. Tnx

Good Day.

Currently, there are no settings available for the Fibe TV Box (7802) to be tuned into a certain station when it is powered on.

I have included the following web link to assist you in adding & deleting unwanted channels from your Guide. You can also set up a Favorites list from the remaining channels that you have chosen to remain in the Guide.

Receivers & Remotes:  Fibe TV Voice Remote

Open up any web browser & go to this web link for instructions. Select > Fibe TV Voice Remote

Select > Step-by-Step tutorials. Go to > Watching shows with your Fibe TV Voice Remote.  Select > each of the links in this section to make changes to your channel listings. You want to Select > Customizing the channel guide & Managing a favourites channels list.

Take care

Your answer is incorrect.  You can accomplish this thru a multiple movement within settings.  For the present let me just say I accomplished that by following the suggestion of an online geek.  At least that was until about 2 hours ago when I powered on my TV (Bell Fibre Optics) and discovered an update notice!  I just spent the better part of an hour talking to a “preferred client/customer” Bell rep trying to find out why no pre notice was issued to our Bell 51 clients in our apartment building.

The technique to open at “HDMI3”, thus the last channel I was watching yesterday, doesn’t work.  Now I have a multi-faceted screen, and unless you agree and go thru all the so-called upgrade highlights, you struggle to reach your favourite channel!

Can someone in Bell mgmt explain where there was no fore-warning and how do I get the previous system, which worked well, BACK?

This has not been my experience since the 7802 "New Improved" SW installed.  Before powering off the TV I try to carefully select the channel I want to watch first thing each morning.  Consistently since the new Improved SW upgrade I am provided with the Bell (Android TV) home screen.  I believe in most cases it is at the Guide setting, and I have to select the channel I want to watch.

Having recently received a Sony TV with Android/Google TV, it strikes me this new SW is a quick and dirty implementation of Google TV, and could use a few Bell Fibe customizations.  Understand that customized SW costs, but the new interface/SW is a downgrade from a useability perspective, and as one earlier post said "and Bell is increasing TV rates soon.

Unless I've missed something this is a real retrograde step for Bell.  Acknowledge I'm simply wasting my time as Bell, Rogers, etc aren't interested in service, they are interested/focused on profits.

Why does the Fibe TV guide always come on when I first turn on my tv. Sometimes it’s not even the right day.

I just want the last channel I watched to start when I turn on the tv.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

In terms of the Guide date & time, have you checked the Device Settings, Time and Date to see if it is set for automatic time update, and the correct time zone? Bell is aware of this glitch & is working on it. If you do notice that the Guide time is incorrect just press the back button on your remote to return to the current time.

Are you familiar with the Restart function? It's use & operation on Bell Fibe TV.

I have included a couple of web links below for you to skim over. Hopefully they will be of assistance to you in answering any further questions you might have.

What is Restart and how do I use it?
