Good Day.

The On Demand Channel on Fibe TV VIP5662w is channel 1200. You can select On Demand programming using the On Demand button on your Bluetooth Slim remote control or by selecting Channel 1200.

There has been a recent update / change in terms of choosing On Demand Channels & programming on Bell Fibe TV.

If you wish to view the Cartoon Network On Demand per se, choose either method. Scroll down the list. Select > Channels. Select > Family & Kids. You can choose to Select > Cartoon Network, or you can scroll across & Select > more pages.

In either case, it is all there. Just in a slightly different format.

If Channel 1200 is missing on your TV Guide, you may need to add it to your Guide & add it to your Favorites. This can be completed by selecting the Menu button on your remote control & choosing to Customize the Guide & adding Channel 1200 to Favorites.

Thank you for posting your question. Enjoy.

Take care.

It looks like the search menu has changed and won’t find my shows/sports I’m looking for. For example I’ve already got a show queued up to record, I enter part of the name of the show and it doesn’t even come up (mainly sports team names). If I enter let’s say ‘basketball’ and the searches come up, I click on the findings and get a code 500 error code. Can I get back my old search menu?  Never had issues before.

Hi there @Piper0424

Thanks for reaching out to the Bell community.

What type of receiver do you have, and do you see a description listed under error 500?

Please try rebooting your equipment, and then check to see if the error message is gone.

Keep us posted,

@BellPatricia

Yeah, thanks for the free update. Should I assume it's still a work-in-progress? So far, I understand you guys wanted to move things around to force us to look for them. Like Costco producs that keep changing location every week. However, coming back to the issue on hand, and I am referring to the On Demand shows. The Resume feature does not work anymore. Kind of defeating the convenience. Then the episodes are jumbled. Please say it's just a ton of bugs you are going to fix soon. The easy navigation of Bell's version of On Demand was the main reason I transferred over from Rogers.

Hello, the topic I need clarified has nothing to do with the Search function. Yes, things changed and the viewer cannot simply scroll right next to the following episode, which is annoying, but I can live with it.

My problem is about Resuming an episode after taking a break. The episode looses its viewed history and one has to start over. Imagine the frustration! It hapenned twice yesterday.

I do not lime the new format for On Demand.  Takes me forever to find the next episode for me to view.

This new "On Demand" system has a "watchlist" feature.  Which would be vey useful if i knew how to add my shows.  How does one use it?  I got to a screen that tells me to browse shows to add to the watchlist, but I can't find a method/button that adds a show.

Where are the instructions?

Can someone please tell me how to use this feature?

Hey there @Formerlyhappy & @Hotboss

Thanks for reaching out to the Bell community and for sharing your feedback with us 🙂

@Formerlyhappy - When you pause an On Demand episode it will save your place and allow you to resume at a later time that suits you. Does that happen on a certain show/movie or all of them? If this persists please reboot your equipment and try again.

@Hotboss - You should see a little symbol that looks like a bookmark, which you can select using your remote control. Check out this support article to learn exactly how to add a show to your list: How to use the On Demand My list on Fibe TVOpens in a new tab or window

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

@BellPatricia

The recent graphic and functional redesign of the Fibe tv On Demand seems to be getting more problematic the more I try and sift through it. I’m really hoping it’s a work in progress and functionality issues are still being rolled out.  I’m not going to go on about the lack of CityTv content, i’ve seen it already raised here…i’ll just add my frustrated voice to the chorus. It’s unfortunate that media big boys have seemingly lost the art of negotiation.

For me, the huge issue is the missing “Available until” date. Prior to the redesign, this piece of info was pretty much attached to every tv program episode/movie but is now nowhere to be found. QUESTION;  Is it being corrected/added?, or is it somewhere I havent discovered yet? It’s really problematic with AMC programs in particular, as their current on-air content that gets put on Demand, doesn’t stay very long. Ie., by the time a program’s episode 3 has aired then put over on Demand, episode 1 is gone from Demand. Some current programming on Showcase or FX do have a current season’s episodes on demand (well, American Horror Story is an exception…the organization of that series and its episodes (some missing) is a dog’s breakfast) but unlike before the redesign, i have no idea how long Bell will host them. And I get that some programs/series/movies may not necessarily be on Demand for as long as, say, CTVsci-fi series content (eg. most of the recent Star Trek series — Picard, Strange New Worlds — are viewable until some point in 2035 if I remember…?). Contractually, Bell has to mutually agree with the content providers how long they will keep that provider’s content on the Bell on Demand system — so, Bell has the ‘available until” date. Why is it now a secret?
A couple of weeks ago i started watching Dune which i noticed was on for free; when i realized i couldnt watch it all because of time, i basically paused it knowing i could come back in a day or two and finish. When i did go back in 2 days later, it was gone!

The other big issue is the “Free Previews” box that i can see at bottom of the “Channels” page. I click on the “Free Previews” and can see a number of services and a few of their programs. When i select any of them, they just say i’m unsubscribed…cant watch. QUESTION: how come?
I get the whole ‘let’s make it look/function like Amazon Prime”, but i hate scrolling right 😉…not to mention, before, when i was surfing through On Demand content, i could still hear the audio of the last channel i was watching. Now, i can’t.
There are some other functional/design choices that I personally would or wouldn’t have made, but above are the big ones. Apologies for length of this…if any or all of above will, to your knowledge, stay as is, then perhaps someone could suggest if there’s any possibility of moving these issues up the chain? Many thanks.

Hi there @MissD
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
The "Available until date" was showing on the older version, although with the recent change this no longer shows. We do appreciate your feedback regarding this.
As for the issue you're experiencing with the "Free previews", are you able to take and share some pictures of what it is you're exactly seeing?
Looking forward to hearing back.

Hi @BellNick @thanks very much for reply. Don’t understand why “Available until” date is not included now. It’s not “classified” in that it’s part of negotiation with content providers….? Anything you guys can do to make it known this is kinda important information would be greatly appreciated. (I guess I shouldn’t mention then that some of the tv series + their episodes that are currently On Demand but shouldn’t be? Ie., as of late December ‘24, they were only available until early January. Sorry, I’ll never tell which ones  😉

ok…some photos below of Free Preview screens…apologies for poor quality, but i think you’ll be able to see. In a nutshell, no blue triangle anywhere. Btw, you can’t tell from photo but there are other programs on for free… CTVWild, Oxygen, Starz, and USANetwork — with some selective episodes…same problem: no blue triangle.  (The first photo is taken at the very bottom of the “Channels” page.  On a related note: QUESTION: can you confirm that the “Channels” /“English” section serves as a place that contains a subscriber’s specific package of channels PLUS any channels that are would be on Free Preview.?

thanks in advance! 😀
