Can I assume it's a Google/Android TV- based Bravia?

I have installed the Fibe TV app on my 2019 Bravia with no issue.  Can you provide any error messages you might be getting?

Of course, it is a Bravia Google TV purchased in 2022.

Are you seeing any error messages when downloading or opening the app?

HI @Coquin

Would you please be more specific about when installation failed. I assume that you searched for, and found, the app on Google Play store. What happened after you clicked install?

This trouble-shooting article from Sony might be useful? https://www.sony.ca/en/electronics/support/articles/00119211

Hi

I watch tv in French... The Bell Fibe application is alrady displayed on my Sony Bravia Google TV. I tried to install it and I got a message saying that the application cannot be installed on this device. Please, see other ways to installed explained on Google Play.

Hi @Coquin

I have the Bell Fibe app running on a Chromecast stick on one tv, and the app running on the Bell Streamer on another tv. When I have any app that is installed but won't start or if it crashes, I force-quit it, then restart it.

If that doesn't fix it, I uninstall it then re-install it from Google Play.

Maybe that could work for you, if nothing else is solving the problem.

Hi, we have an older Sony TV and have been using the Fibe App successfully for years.  We just bought a brand new Sony Bravia XR Google TV (XR85X90L) and the Fibe App is not showing up in the App Store when searched.  I tried all the different variations of “Bell Fibe App” and nothing.  Please advise.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

If you cannot download the Bell Fibe TV app for the Sony Bravia XR Google TV in the app store, then your Sony Google TV would not be a supported device.

If you are wishing to stream  Fibe TV, on your new TV you will need to use a supported device with your television. E.g. Bell Streamer, Firestick, Apple TV, etc.

I have included a complete list of supported devices below.

Fibe TV supported devices:

  • Bell Streamer
  • Android smartphones and tablets (OS 7.0+)
  • Apple smartphones and tablets (iOS 12+)
  • Apple TV, 4th generation or higher
  • AirPlay on Apple TV and AirPlay-enabled TVs
  • All versions of ChromecastTM
  • Android TV: Sony Android TV, nVIDIA Shield, Xiaomi Mi Box
  • Amazon Fire TV (Basic Edition or higher)
  • Computer: Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Safari* browsers by visiting fibetv.ca

What is Fibe TV app and how do I use it?

Take care.

Thank you for your question. Aside from @WelshTerrier 's advice, Sony has an excellent support resource for your TV and finding compatible apps. You might also wish to ensure your TV's firmware is updated to the latest release (see the Sony site) for your best viewing experience.

When discussing a new TV service with rep, it became clear (through my wife's realtime research, not the rep's direction) that Bell Fibe App tv was significantly less expensive than the standard Bell box and remote service. What the rep more significantly failed to mention was that Fibe TV App only works on very specific brands of Google OS tv's (Sony, etc.) This is a major omission. It means that most tv owners will not be able to access Fibe tv App. I needed to know that before I ordered the service. Reps need to: a/ know this and b/communicate this. Thanks, IT

Oh and ‘chatting’ with an AI assistant could not confirm that this note would actually reach a human being, sadly.
