I went in to ‘on demand’ to watch ‘farmer wants a wife’ but it tells me I need to get CTV to watch it.

Can you clarify if you're using Fibe TV or Satellite, and which type of receiver you have?
Depending on the CTV station the show airs on, it's possible that you are not subscribed, which is why that type of message would pop up. Are you able to share a picture / screenshot of the message you are seeing?
Which TV package are you subscribe to? You can verify your subscription easily via MyBell. For a step by step check out this thread Tv channels

Sounds like a profile mismatch. You should chat with a live agent if you insist watching on ctv.ca directly instead of on Bell for this show.
