TV loses sound. Pixelize and random return to guide page. Will running CAT cable directly to the TV help?

No it is not the cable, thanks anyway.

Hi all,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We've had this looked into and an issue was identified and a fix was implemented. If you're currently experiencing the pixilation, please try rebooting your receivers (unplug unit from the power, wait 30 seconds and plug the unit back in). If the issue is still appearing after a reboot, please let the Community know and please advise of what station it occurs on.

Thanks, will see if anymore issues arise

Same, as well as other channels including Sportsnet

Hi @Whsb54
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
To clarify, you have Satellite TV and are experiencing pixilation issues on CTV, AMC, SciFi and Sportsnet (if so, which Sportsnet channel)?
Looking forward to hearing back.

Hello,

I have only had pixelation trouble on the 2 AMC channels and the PBS channel. I haven't experienced any of the other channels that are as evidently effected. I have seen a bit of pixelation on other channels occasionally but we actually lose audio and then the pixelations to where I have to change channels. I did get some pixelation on a recording on the Science channel last night from a couple of weeks ago. I rebooted the receiver on Sunday and watched the entire movie of Bourne Identity for almost the entire 2 hours until the last couple of minutes, Pixelated again and lost audio but came back after a few minutes. The technician I talked to asked if I would try the reboot and that he would call back at 7PM PDT, but didn't receive a call back.

Hi there @DRU1
Thanks for the information.
Have the impacted channels experienced the pixilation issue since Tuesday? Please note that any recordings prior to this would still be effected as they would have been recorded prior to the fix.

We haven't watched enough AMC or Science channel since Tuesday to give you an accurate answer,

I have thus problem as well. Also, sportsnet channels lose sound and have to switch to alternate sportsnet channe

Rebooted as suggested and to test, left the TV on AMC for 4 hours. Worked flawlessly. Hope that stays this way.

Thank you for your question. Is this Fibe TV or Satellite TV? There can be many reasons for audio drop. Is this frequent? Does the picture freeze as well? More details would be helpful. Have you looked at this thread and tried the solutions in helpful replies with a green checkmark that are offered?

Hi there @Wakka197
Our team was aware of an issue with CNN & HLN that was under investigation. We wanted to check in to see if you're still experiencing issues with CNN today?
Looking forward to hearing back.
