With Fibe TV on the Android VIP7802 box, if you pick a channel by scrolling up and down using the Channel up/down button and just press OK to select it without waiting, you will restart the program (if it has the blue Restart button). This seems like an odd UI choice as intuitively you would just press OK when you find the channel you want and not wait for a banner at the bottom of the screen to disappear. And once you do restart, if you do the same thing again, you will resume since now the blue Resume button is selected.
I would think you should have to press the down arrow while watching a channel to select Restart/Resume.

I get your point & I do understand this. This modification may be something that is nice to have & make far more sense & be easier to use. It is just not built in to the Restart function today. Should it be? Probably.
If you believe it to be a must have, then address this as such & recommend this enhancement as a future update to Bell. This is an area that is not within my circle of influence to change.

My issue is that you should have to press the down arrow or go through the Info button, to select Restart through channel peek. It shouldn't be there and selected by default, when you move up and down channels. It's too confusing if you just press OK, before channel peek disappears. I don't believe the App does this.
And, once Restart is selected unintentionally, the Resume blue button will show by default, and you can't get rid of it until the show ends.

Good Day.
Can you please share with me what the specific issue or question you were asking in your original post? Were you suggesting a more friendly change to the UI?
I read your post to be an issue with Restart not working as it was designed.
I checked out & confirmed the tutorial prior to my reply. I verified how it works & tested this out for myself.
If you were offering up a suggestion to make a change in the operation of Restart, then that is something completely different to an issue & a question.
I will endeavor to be more specific & less generic in any future replies.
Take care.

Welsh, the issue is that you shouldn't be able to trigger Restart simply by scrolling through channels using the Up/Down buttons. It happens because channel peek always appears for a few seconds. If you just hit OK, to select the channel while the Restart Button is highlighted blue, you initiate a Restart. It's confusing. You should have to manually initiate a restart by bringing up channel peek while watching a channel using the down arrow or Info button.
So my question really was, is there any way around this? Do I have to wait a few seconds for channel peek to disappear as I scroll up and down to select channels so I don't trigger a Restart? Does this seem like a good UI choice to you?
