I use Fibe TV and it's in standby mode every 4 hours unless I change channel. Is there a way to set longer time?

As far as I know there is no way to change the standby feature time. I wish there was!

Good day!
The standby timer is not a setting that can be adjusted or changed on Bell Fibe TV. If there is no activity, it is set at 4 hours to help prevent TV screen burn in.
Thanks for reaching out to the Bell Community Forum.
Take care.

Is there a way to stop the Fibe TV app on Apple TV from timing out and going back to the guide?
There doesn't seem to be anything in the Settings to prevent this, or change the timeout period - which seems to be about 3 hours,
Thanks.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
There is no time limit setting on the Fibe TV App to extend usage. The standby timer is not a setting that can be adjusted or changed on Fibe TV. This is intended to prevent TV screen burn in.
Take care.

Thanks, WelshTerrier.
It's a bit ironic, really - the system goes back to the static guide page, which could cause burn-in more easily than the more dynamic content that had been playing.
Oh well - guess I'll have to be more vigilant of the time I've been watching a channel.
Cheers.

You say you cant change the inactivity option yet on your page it states
- Press MENU on your remote control.
- Select Settings.
- Select Preferences.
- Select Inactivity Standby.
- Navigate over to Inactivity Duration.
- Select the number of hours before your receiver will go into standby mode (minimum of 4 hours to a maximum of 8 hours).
Which is it yes you can change or no you cant? Football game last 4hrs + and I have to touch control to keep it going?

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
@Frank JM The information you are referencing in your question relates to Bell Satellite TV.
You cannot extend the standby time for Fibe TV. There is no option to do so.
if your question is: "Can you extend the standby time for Bell Satellite TV?"
Yes. You can extend the inactivity standby time from 4- 8 hours if you have a Whole Home PVR 9500 / Whole Home receiver 7500 / HD receiver 6500 or an earlier model 9400, etc.
