Transferring 6141 PVR contents to Bell Fibe PVR

My neighbour just converted from Bell Satellite TV to Bell Fibe TV because it just became available.

Initially the technician told him that the contents of his old PVR could be transferred to his new PVR.

Ultimately the tech said it was not possible so he lost the contents of his old PVR.

This seems like a massive oversight on Bell's part.

I have hundreds of hours of content on my 6141 PVR that I would NOT want to lose.

So there is no way I would subscribe to Bell's Fibe service if I have to lose years of movies and programs.

Did Bell not foresee this problem? Or maybe they did and didn't care.

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
Recordings can only be transferred from receiver to receiver through an external hard drive if the receivers are the same model numbers. Transferring from Satellite to Fibe is not available.

Hello.  I have 6 external drives worth of HD programming saved from my Bell satellite tv.  Can programs be viewed from these drives on a new Fibe PVR?

I currently have 2 6141 satellite receivers. Each has a hard drive attached to record TV.  If I switch to Fibe for TV is there a way to move those drives to the Fibe hardware, or copy over the recordings ?

Transferring your recordings & drives from your Bell Satellite 6141 receivers to Fibe TV is not possible. Recordings can only be transferred from receiver to receiver by way of a hard drive if the receivers are the same. Fibe TV & Satellite TV recording storage & equipment is completely different.
