I have a number of channels on my Bell TV package that cannot be accessed on the Fibe TV App ie. CBS, NBC and ABC including timeshifting. This is very annoying since I am paying for services that are not available across all my devices. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Yeah exactly. It means you aren’t connected to the wifi associated with your bundled pay tv service.

Hello,
We watch bell through our bell satellite receivers and using the Bell Fibe app on our Apple TV media box. Our internet provider is not bell. We are able to view TCM (Turner Classis Movies) on the satellite but we are not able to using the Bell Fibe App. It indicates that we have to view it with a receiver. This is the only channel with this issue. Is this because we do not use bell as our internet provider?
Thanks

Yes. Otherwise the Fibe TV app treats as if you're streaming out-of-home. But be aware of the discussions about still not able to stream even when at home. I'm with Fibe and never encounter this issue.

Thank you for your question. I also have Bell Satellite and have TCM, as well. A quick scan of the channel selection for the Fibe TV app and for Fibe TV (they are two distinct and different packages in spite of the common name) shows that TCM appears to be not available in either service, for some reason. This link has a list of the small number of channels which are available on Bell Satellite but not available on the Fibe TV app. https://support.bell.ca/tv/channels/what-is-the-fibetv-app-and-how-do-i-use-it

I have the same set up as you. My internet provider is not Bell. From what I understand, Bell satellite does not have the licensing agreement to broadcast TCM through the Fibe TV app. Only directly through the satellite receiver. Other channels such as TVO and NTV are also not available through the Fibe TV app.

So my receiver is out of warranty, and I want to move to streaming only anyway. Apple TV and the Fibe TV app will not play FOX, CBS, or NBC on the app!!!
It says that these channels can only be played on a standard receiver, but the web based player will play them.
In a chat online to attempt to fix the receiver, the support person stated that there were 'limitations with Apple TV.'
Ideas to try next?

Good Day.
Thank you for posting your question. Could you provide us with a bit more information?
- Which Bell Fibe TV service do you subscribe to?
- Have you verified your regional settings on your Apple TV device?
- Please provide us with the make & model of the devices that you are experiencing this problem on.
- Is this a recent issue? Are you experiencing this problem at home when you are connected to your Fibe Internet?
- Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Bell Fibe TV app?
- Is your Apple TV up to date?
- If you continue to have any trouble you can also try a factory reset of your device.
FYI Only! Only one of you can watch live programming when one of you is trying to access the Fibe TV app at home & the other user is not connected to your home Bell Wi-Fi.
Fibe TV service: When not connected to your home Bell Wi-Fi, you can have three devices watching content simultaneously, but only one can be watching live content, and five devices registered.
Fibe TV app service: When you are not connected to your home Bell Wi-Fi, you can have two devices watching content simultaneously, but only one can be watching live content.
I have included the following web link that will provide you with any further details you may require.

Hi there @TBorko
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
NBC, CBS and FOX are only available for in home viewing on the receiver or through the Fibe TV app if you're connected to your Bell internet service. Are you subscribed to both Fibe TV, Bell Internet and trying to access these channels from home?

Hi @Peter
Please note my previous reply above. In order to watch some stations on the Fibe TV app (in this case NBC, CBS, FOX, ABC..) while at home, you must have an active Bell Internet service (the internet would need to be DSL or Fibe. Wireless Home Internet is not compatible).

I have bell satellite TV. I am away and normally can use my Apple TV or iPad to watch my regular shows on bell Fibe. For some reason we have noticed over the last few weeks that we are unable to watch many of the channels (screenshot above). Also we record shows and wait for them to be done recording to watch them and they all of a sudden disappear from the recently recorded. We actually saw them recording with the record button above the show under currently recording. Bell internet is on an old infrastructure in my community therefore not fast enough so we could not use it. We had a technician come over to try and trouble shoot it as well and that was the outcome. We use another service provider for internet that is super fast. Nothing has changed except the amount of channels that work completely fine at home no longer being able to watch them when away which is the exact reason for the service…any other advice/tips you can offer. We also did the online chat last evening and were in the queue for over 25 mins and then the operator “Dennis Mitchell” was supposed to call me to try to help more ended up with a non functioning headset and was going to re-boot his computer and call me and actually met did!!’ Pretty frustrating to say the least.
