Can you clarify? This is Fibe or Satellite? I just checked and my US stations are Boston and Seattle on satellite and Fibe as they have always been. And yes, I am also in Southern Ontario.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

The Bell Community is a place for you to ask questions, find answers and share your thoughts.  This is a true peer-to-peer community space. As such, we do not have access to your account & billing information.

Are you on Fibe TV, Fibe TV app or Bell Satellite? Which TV package do you subscribe to? Good, Better, Best or Starter?

Which part of the country do you live in?

Channel 220 & 1220 are NBC stations. For example, in southern Ontario, NBC is mapped to Detroit for local programing. These are pre-defined mapped viewing areas. i.e. Channel Map: MAP_Kitchener_ London, etc.

Bell subscribes to east East & West coast U.S. Networks. Depending on where you live in Canada; the U.S. networks will flip flop back & forth throughout the day. They will include U.S. National programming & shows then all of a sudden drop in local TV followed by some programming, advertisements, etc.

Bell does not control what is advertised or shown on a U.S Network. They can choose to control what some U.S. stations want to show, e.g. content, copyright, etc.

You may be more interested in Detroit, but we do not control the U.S. network, viewing rights & who can watch what, the broadcast location, local content, advertising & who pays for the advertising, etc.

Thank you for posting your question.

Take care.

We as Bell Fibe TV customers in Southwestern Ontario (Windsor) pay for our services. Channel 1220 WDIV in Detroit is what we are paying to watch and suppose to be on our TV screens, NOT - WGRZ (NBC Buffalo). If they would like to insert the Buffalo ads fine, but I want the Detroit programing. I don't care what happens regarding Buffalo News and weather, I care about Southeast Michigan and Southwestern Ontario. This Buffalo programing has be on the air since at least 6:00 am, if was also showing last night, for 5:30 onward,  so we missed the Detroit area news and weather.

I understand Bell does not control what is advertised or shown on a U.S Network. I also understand they can choose to control what some U.S. stations want to show, e.g. content, copyright, etc.,

But who is in charge of this?

This is not what we are paying for and we pay way too much money to have this happen on a regular basis.

Please send details of who is in charge and who we should be contacting to get this corrected. I believe somebody isn't doing there job correctly and hasn't flipped the switch back to Detroit programing, which I believe is in Bell's control. This goes on sporadically throughout the year and we shouldn't have to put up with this or be compensated for these errors.

Good Day.

As mentioned in a previous reply, this is a peer-to-peer community space. As such, we do not have access to account & billing information.

This is a place for you to ask questions, find answers and share your thoughts.  Membership does not give any one of us the right to dictate what is being televised, when & where.

These are programming & policy decisions that are not within our control & are best addressed by the networks & Bell Media.

I am a community member and customer as you are. I'm here to help by sharing my knowledge and experience. I offer up my time for the betterment of the community & its membership.

I do not work for Bell. I encourage you to connect with other community members by helping each other by asking and answering questions, share thoughts, ideas and solutions. If you feel as you do that someone is not doing their job, then by all means you need to become more involved & delve in to this further.

I do not necessarily see it the same way as you do. I will leave this with you to pursue.

Take care.

Good Day.

These are programming & policy decisions that are not within our control & are best addressed by the networks & Bell Media. This is very little we can do on the community forum to influence a change in where it is coming from.

I wish there was something else I could do; but there is nothing more that I can suggest.

The only advise that I can give is "stay tuned." We are one little fishy staying afloat in the big & deep ocean of network television media.

Take care.
