Hello @BellNick i just wanted to let you know that the 6131 does not work with the 9500's The 9500 recivers have newer Technology and the 6131 has older technology. they only way it will work is if another Dish is installed for the same household

Hi there @Phylip92
Thank you for your post.
You would need to plug it in to test that it works, but there should be no conflict between using the 6131 and the 9500. Please note that you will need to have the receiver added onto your account in order to get your programming. To do this you will need to have the Receiver and Smartcard number for the 6131. If you have that, please feel free to send me a private message with that information to ensure the receiver can be added.

So I have added the receiver to my account, but the receiver is saying I can’t find satellite signal. I was talking to our Bell technician and they said in order for the receiver to communicate with the satellite properly the receiver has to do a check switch test and I do not have a remote that works With the receiver to be able to use the up-and-down arrow keys and stuff like that on the remote, the only remote that I have is a UHF remote which remote is not compatible with the 6131

I have a technician that was scheduled to come out today. He ended up giving me a call and he said that the 6131 will not work with the 9500 receivers. He said there is no way possible that the 6131 can communicate with the satellite dish with the 9500 receivers as there is two wires coming out of the satellite, he said an order for 6131 to work as you would have to upgrade the satellite and put a whole new satellite and run wires from the satellite so there is no way possible that 6131 can work

Nott sure what you mean by saying the 9500 and 6131 would not work together - I have a 9500 , 6131 and 6400 and they all work perfectly together - I installed myself and get 100% signal.
