In the last few weeks I have been unable to use my lightning to hdmi adapter with the bell apps (Fibe, crave, TSN) they all work fine on the phone, but once I plug in the adapter I get an error has occurred message. One such error code is 999/-12852.
I can use many other apps with this connection method.

Thank you for your question. A little research shows that the error you describe is an Apple iOS error. There are a number of remedies suggested.
1) without connecting your iPhone to your TV, reboot it and try to connect again through your adapter.
2) Remove the app, reboot your phone and download the app again.
2) Make sure your iPhone has the most recent software version.
Let us know if any of these ideas work for you.

I’ve tried all except deleting the app. Given that it is 3 different apps all provided by Bell, it seems odd that the issue is not a Bell issue. But I will try. Thank you

So I did all that. No luck. Did I mention it happens on multiple devices?

It’s an old rca not a smart tv. Happens on all tvs in my house. It’s in the Bell apps that won’t work with my adapter

Hi there @Frustrated again
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
This is by design. Hooking your phone up to your television via this method will not work with the mentioned apps.

Thank you BellNick, but this is a new phenomenon, as they worked as recently as roughly 10 days ago. What is the purpose of such design, as every other streaming app I use does allow this?
