Bell ran new fiber cable through our neighbourhood 2 years ago. When they did this i decided to switch over. When the technician was installing the cable he noticed that the pole was rotted and broken at the ground. I have called 4 times about this pole over 2 years. 1 of those times a service tech came out and verified it was broken. The last 2 times no one has shown up. They were also supposed to burry the cable through my back yard. It is still running through the trees. How do i get this repaired

Good Day.

It can be very frustrating when there seems to be no action taken.

This can become a very serious safety issue if it should break off at the base. You mentioned that this is a Bell pole & that you have reported the condition. Is it being used by any other utilities? Hydro, cable, etc.

Did he band the pole as a safety hazard & advise you on any next steps?

Please try doing this one more time. Please call & explain the situation once again & if you cannot obtain a firm commitment date from the online representative, then by all means ask to speak to the manager.

If you are still not satisfied with their response, then by all means, elevate the issue to a member of the Bell Management Team. How to resolve your concern (bell.ca)

Bell Wire & Cable Repair - Please call: 611 or 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or dial #611 from any Bell mobile device.

How can Bell help with wire installation and repair?

Thank you for posting your concern.

Take care

We're in Barrhaven, the wire coming into the house is never going to make it through the winter.  The installer didn't even try, as in put less effort into it than zero.  Please see the pix.  What's the process to get this fixed - what specifically do we do to get someone here to clean this up.  It looks like a 5th grader ran this wire.

Thanks, in advanced, Bell1.jpgBell2.jpgBell3.jpg

There is a pole falling over following a recent storm. How do I report this?

Thank you for your question. Bell will terminate your copper land line at the demarcation point or home entrance when they install fibre service to your home. They will not remove the copper line, buried or aerial, back to the terminal post. As they own the line and unless your line has been replaced by fibre, you can leave it alone.

A couple years ago a contractor for bell played fibrotic in my community.

yesterday I noticed one of these fiber lines that was layer through a cut (which was patched) across my sidewalk has come back to the surface and is now become a tripping hazard.

my elderly father must step over it with his walker every time he (and I) leave or enter the house.

whom do I talk to about this?

as it gets worse I’m afraid one of us will trip on it.

I wish I could post a picture of it here

thank you for any help in whom to contact about this issue

Thanks for your question. The same thing happened on my street. A sidewalk snowplow took out a lot of fibre  You should call Bell at 1 866 310-BELL (2355) and report it. Bell will have a contractor repair the fibre.

Hello:  My bell lines are lying on my front lawn, how do I get someone from Bell too come out and repair the lines?

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

Thank you for posting your question. The wires that are exposed on the ground, is this as a result of new installation or a temporary repair to restore your service?

At Bell, this is a very busy time of the year with the change in weather from winter to spring.  As the weather improves, it is now time for Bell or one of its contractors, to bury what has been placed on the ground temporarily.

Have you reached out to Bell Customer Service & explained your issue to them in detail? If not, then please call Bell Repair service & explain that the temporary repair or new fibre cable is laying exposed on the ground & needs to be properly buried before it is damaged. The representative should provide you with an approximate date for this work to be completed.

Bell Wire & Cable Repair - Please call: 611 or 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or dial #611 from any Bell mobile device.

For Property damage or Bell contractor restoration issues call: 1-800-268-4213Obtain a ticket number from the service representative. This will be passed on to the contractor for cleanup. You should be given a completion date & time.

Take care.

This winter we got Fibre internet. GREAT!

The fibre line was put on the snow. Now we want it to be burried in the ground. (we like to mow the yard!) It is impossible (for me) to get an agent on the phone. Chatting doesn’t help, they refer me to the general Bell phone number and there I go around in circles in all those menus.
Does anyone have a number for Bell that I can call to make an appointment to bury the line? Or a number tgat is answered by an actual person?

thanks,

Bram
