Wightman is installing fibre to the hiome in Orangeville, Bell has planned this for years but nothing has come forward. When Bell going to provide this because the prices look good and the currently alternatives do not match as far as speed or reliablity.

Does anyone from Technical ever check these forums?
Years ago, Bell came in and Fibre'd to the house everything in my area of Barrhaven in Ottawa.
But. They didn't do my one side of the street. They left 20 houses with Fibre to the node which is on the corner of the street.
Leaves me in the Tech from the year 2000.

8 months ago we noticed a crew installing Bell Fibe on our street. (Misissauga - Port Credit - L5H)
Some time in the last few months, they came and laid the cable from the street to our house. It is lying on the ground coiled up at the side of our house. How do we know it’s Bell Fuie? Because there is a yellow tag on it that says Bell FibreOptic! Yet, we have called Bell many times in the last few weeks and they advise us there is. No service in our area, that we still would have to have satellite! Any ideas? Who can we contact?

Good question. You can check the MyBell site to see if fibre is available at your address. If not, Bell will contact you by mailer, flyer or door to door visit to sign you up when fibre is available.

Good Day.
We do not have access to this type of information on The Bell Community Forum.
I can only surmise that Fibe to your neighbourhood will occur shortly. It is only a matter of time. Once an area is fully serviced, fibre cables & service wires placed, equipment installed, splicing completed, testing will start with the system being activated. This is not an overnight process. Based on the limited information provided, the time from start to finish for all those steps to complete can be another 3-4 months or more.
I have included a web link that reflects the availability of Bell Fibe Internet in your neighbourhood. You will need to enter your address, Your address will be cross checked & verified with Bell Fibe servicing records.
Enter this web link in to any web browser. Do not log in to MYBell!
On the top of the page, enter your address. Select this & fill in the appropriate location information.
Pure fibre Internet | Bell Canada
Once Fibe is available, you will see the current status change. If there is no information posted, I would suggest checking back on a regular basis. This information is continually being updated.
After all of the engineering design, prep work, & cable placements are completed, the copper to fibre conversion process will startup. Rest assured, someone from Bell will be contacting you.
You can also contact Bell Customer Service at: 1 866 394-6331 to verify & confirm availability.
Bell definitely wants your business!
Thank you for reaching out to the Bell Community Forum.
Take care.

Thanks for your question. Unfortunately we don’t have any information on planned fibre deployment. You might check at your municipal office, otherwise watch for utility marking, vacuum trucks and other equipment.

I know Bell didnt revival info about new installs, but they install ADSS cable on the poles at winter, when we can wait service start?
worker said it for bell and even cable on the reel was marked bell, looks like bell order cable with their markings.
This was during snow time, no cables still hang from poles at some places, do drops, no splicing done.
When we can expect service? approximately?
As I know bell does not install main cable, they hire another companies for this, who install drops and splice cables?

Thank you for your question . You are correct and echo my own experience. It was about a month after the splicing vehicles from a contractor appeared that Bell offered me fibre service. As @WelshTerrier @said, we have no idea about Bell’s plans and so can’t comment further.

Good Day.
Thank you for your gracious reply.
We are not privy to Bell's fibre design, engineering, placement & activation scheduling. I provided you with the best available information at our disposal. Based on the activity you provided, you are much closer to knowing the expected completion date than we are.
It is what it is & that is the best answer I can give you.
Have a wonderful day.
Take care.
