Wightman is installing fibre to the hiome in Orangeville, Bell has planned this for years but nothing has come forward. When  Bell going to provide this because the prices look good and the currently alternatives do not match    as far as speed or reliablity.

Lot's of factors affect availability of high speed services.

You can read more about it here.

Thanks Vanadiel. But seriously I do not have time for a 10 pager to try to understand why Bell cannot upgrade their services in our neighbourhood, but has done the same a kilometer away from us since at least 3 years. This is a country with monopolistic situation in almost every field where they can milk the customers in every way, without any option to upgrade the service. These strategy documents (like the one you shared) are just good on paper!

Lobby your local MP, as they are the ones promising 50/10 for every Canadian by 2030, 95% by 2026.

The main reason is more than likely cost versus return. Pulling high speed fibre everywhere is more than just pulling the fibre.

No one has any idea of Bell’s plans for fibre expansion. Bell plays those things close to the chest for competitive reasons.

So Bell recently installed fibre ports in all the apartments in my building almost a month ago. But whenever I check the website it says my area isn’t covered by Fibre, so when can I make the switch?

we have 4 consoles and plenty of other high usage devices running at home so it’s definitely not enough, and everyone from support seems clueless when I asked.

Good Day.

I wish I could help you out. We do not have access to this type of information on The Bell Community Forum.

I can only suggest that you will definitely know when Bell is finished working on installing fibre to your building. Bell emplyees wil be approaching you.E.g. Contractors, Bell techs, etc.

The process to install fibre to an apartment building is far more complex than it is to a a home. It takes time & resources. It also requires far more testing & set up beyond the individual wiring to each apartment unit. As you indicated, you have plenty of other high usage devices at home. This will not happen overnight.

Have you discussed this with the owner of the apartment builiding or your property manager? I am quite sure they will be able to fill in some of the details that have been dicsussed with Bell's engineers.

Last year 2 side roads in my area got Fibe. There is no sign of it down the main road yet (West Carleton - just outside of Ottawa). How can we find out if/when Fibe is scheduled for my address?

I recently moved into a condo building that does not have Fibe. The residents foolishly turned Bell down when first approached. I had Fibe at my previous residence and I would like to have it here as another choice. I have received permission from the board to pursue acquiring Fibe for the building, but I do not know who to contact regarding the process involved and if there are costs associated with this. Thank you.

Is there going to be bell fibre installed in grimsby On

I don't know who to reach out to regarding this question I am about to ask.

I have spoken to a few online reps regarding the True Bell Fibe internet that I am excluded from, I live on a street in Toronto that is predominately Bell and Rogers, I am currently with Rogers and I am not too fond of them as they have a sporadic outage.

So back to the original inquiry why I made this posting. I was previously with Bell, with the 50 MB Fibe option which did me no good as it was not sustainable for what I needed it for with many smart/wireless devices connected along with working from home.

I just checked and my only option is Fibe 50, while my neighbor next door has the option of Fibe 3.0gb option. I don't know if it's because my house is detached, while all my neighbors on my street have True Fibe. (I've individually typed in their numbers)

I don't know who to speak to as I get the generic answer from these bell reps saying "We will look into it".

Please tell me I am not crazy that I am the only one receiving 50MB

It is completely Useless. For 2 weeks now, talking with Bell costumer service for more than 6 hours in total. Talked to like 13 different agents and managers and yet no one can solve this issue

Says a lot about BELL service

What a shame !!!!!
