Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

I have included two different methods for viewing & changing your Wi-Fi password.

1. Bell Wi-Fi app - Password Change

First, you’ll need to download and open the Bell Wi-Fi app.

Finding your Wi-Fi password

  1. Open the Bell Wi-Fi app and log in with your MyBell username and password
  2. On the top of the Adapt screen, touch the hidden Wi-Fi password. The existing password is shown.

Changing your Wi-Fi name and/or password

  1. Open the Bell Wi-Fi app and log in with your MyBell username and password
  2. On the Adapt section of the home screen, touch the Settings (gear) icon.
  3. To rename your network, touch the Pencil icon, enter a name and then touch Done.
  4. To change your Wi-Fi password, touch the three stacked dots beside your hidden Wi-Fi password.
  5. Touch Edit to change the password.
  6. Touch Done and then Update once you have confirmed the new Wi-Fi password.
  7. Try to connect to your Wi-Fi network using this password.

2. Web Browser - Wi-Fi Password Change

First, you’ll need to log into your modem.

  1. Open a new browser tab.
  2. Depending on your connected status, enter the below:
  • Bell.ca/mymodem if connected to the internet already.
  • 192.168.2.1 if not connected to the internet.
  1. Click Manage my Wi-Fi.
  2. If prompted, enter the administrator password. Unless you have already changed it, the default password is the serial number located on the sticker found on the back of your modem.
  3. Ensure your Primary Wi-Fi network is set to ON.
  4. You can now view or change the network name and password.
  5. Click Save to apply any changes you have made.

Keep in mind that you will also need to change the password in all of your devices that connect to your Wi-Fi network.

Take care.

I don’t know what happened but everything is okay now. There must have been a glitch. Thanks for your help.

I have a question though. On MyBell app, can I change the internet password? If yes, where on the app I can do that? Thanks!

Hi there @Mary_S22
Are you referring to your WiFi password when you are connecting a device to the internet or are you referring to a different password?

The wifi password

Hi there @Mary_S22
Your WiFi password can be changed through either your modem GUI or the Bell WiFi app (not MyBell). We'd recommend checking out our support thread  Find and change your Wi-Fi passwordOpens in a new tab or windowfor further information.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Community.

Thank you @BellNick  I appreciate your help.

Hi,

Our wifi went out yesterday so we contacted Bell support. Before contacting them, we could still connect to the wifi but it said "connected without internet". The Tech had me factory reset the modem and then came to the conclusion that the "modem is faulty" and needed to be replaced, despite it working just a few minutes prior. However ever since resetting the modem, I can't even see the wifi network anymore and therefore cannot access the modem control panel or anything... Is there a way to fix this? After factory resetting, how can I access the admin page in order to input my login information?

Thank you!

The administrator password is used to access the modem’s settings.

  1. Open your web browser and visit bell.ca/mymodem or 192.168.2.1.
  2. Click on Modem preferences.
  3. If prompted, enter the administrator password
    • Unless you’ve changed it, the password is the serial number located on the sticker on the back of the modem.
  4. Type the current admin password in the Current password field.
  5. If you wish to change this password, type a new password in the New password field.
  6. Type the new password once more in the Confirm password field.
  7. Click Save.

Where can I find the security key on my modem?

Good Day.

Your network security key is your wireless Wi-Fi password.

If you have not changed it or it was not changed at the time of your installation, you will find it on a sticker on the back of your modem. The Wi-Fi network name will be BELL xxx or something similar and the Wi-Fi password will be on the next line.

Should you wish to change your Wi-Fi password, the link below will be of assistance to you.
