Hello,
I’m contacting you, because I am unable to use xCloud (Xbox Game Pass Cloud) on my Xbox. It works well on a computer, but impossible on the Xbox itself. I have contacted Microsoft and they tell me the problem is my internet (after verification). For example, I was able to play great on my Xbox, using my cellphone with one signal bar as a hotspot, even if the speed of my cellphone was far lower that my home internet (1gb).
I have also see many other peoples with the same problem as me on the internet. Here are two examples from this forum :
1- https://forum.bell.ca/t5/Internet/Xbox-Cloud-Gaming/m-p/5292 and
2- https://forum.bell.ca/t5/Internet/Pare-Feu-du-HUB-3000/m-p/3311 .
I have already try everything I could on my end like auto repair service, verify on the modem the wifi signal to my Xbox and other parameters, try via Ethernet, call the Bell support, etc. Can you help me ?
Thanks !

Hi @Jason8
Welcome to the Bell Community, and thank you for posting.
The Community just needs a bit more information in order to help.
- Can you share which model of Xbox you have?
- While connected via Wi-Fi how far is your Xbox from the modem.
- Was there an improvement at all when you tested an Ethernet connection?
- What type of Ethernet cable did you test? We recommend using a CAT5/6.
Please also share a screen shot with the results of your your speed test and latency for both you Wi-Fi and Ethernet connection: Speed test
Looking forward to your reply.

DMZ does not work properly on HH3000. The routing for it is wrong. One option is to use Cloudflare's WARP, or a "regular" VPN. This is a known issue...

Hello @BellPatricia !
Here are the informations :
I have the Xbox series S.
- While connected via Wi-Fi how far is your Xbox from the modem.
Around 8 meters.
- Was there an improvement at all when you tested an Ethernet connection?
No differences when trying to play on either.
- What type of Ethernet cable did you test? We recommend using a CAT5/6.
I use a Cat6 cable.
Here are the results from the speedtest from the Xbox itself :
Wifi : Dwl : 178,31mb/s, Upload : 147,17mb/s
Latency : 37 ms. Wifi signal : 100%.
Ethernet : Dwl : 950,65 mb/s, Up : 200,79mb/s
Latency : 36 ms
And on a computer :
Wifi : Dwl : 528,08 mb/s, Up : 351,94 mb/s
Latency : Dwl : 23 ms, Up : 18 ms
Ethernet : Dwl : 939,25mb/s, Up : 719,49 mb/s
Latency/Ping : 5ms
Don’t hesitate to tell me if i forgot something.
Thanks !

I want a solution to this as well. I can't play any Xbox games on my PC, and everything points towards bells modem or port forwarding being an issue. I called in and they refuse to be able to help me with opening up ports, and trying to open them on my modem page doesn't actually function.
Just switched to bell and this is making me want to switch off when I can't access online in any of the Xbox games on my PC anymore.
If you google search bell/xbox issues there are tons of results going back a year or so. So why hasn't the issue be rectified in that time?

Hi @Max25 !
Yeah, that problem is really frustrating since that should just work with the speed we got. In my case, i was able to use Xbox Cloud on a computer without trouble. What modem do you have (the 3000?) and does it work on your console ?
I was sure the problem was my HomeHub 3000. I've read that this modem have a kind of bottleneck for the data type used for the streaming of games with xCloud on console, since the technology is different when on a PC.
I'm gonna pass on the details, but to have the new modem i had to abandon lifetime rebate and more to change my internet speed to 1.5 gb because Bell refused to change my modem 3000 for the Gigabit, even if they propose that modem for speed of 50mb and i hab 1gb...
Long story short, with the Gigabit modem, xCloud work finally on my Xbox.
Could you confirm your Modem model, internet speed on Computer/xbox affected and if the problem is present only on PC, or also on Console ?

You would need to purchase a package from a VPN provider like NordVPN or ExpressVPN, or you can use for free Cloudflare's WARP.
None of the hubs support adding those services directly to the hub.
