I keep getting a message from Windows and Norton that my internet connection is out of date and not secure. It has something to do with WEP. Do I need a new modem, currently I have a 2Wire Gateway modem.

WEP is an outdated Wi-Fi network security method and Microsoft is encouraging Windows users still using it to change to a more secure option like WPA-2. There are specific steps for your modem found here.
Note - the 2 wire modem from Bell is a very old modem. You don't get the benefit of the Bell Wi-Fi app or the faster 5 GHz Wi-Fi radio on newer modems and newer devices. You may want to consider calling to see if you are eligible to upgrade to a newer modem.

My bell wifi wasn’t giving proper signal. So i clicked the giga button on the modem. It is bell fiber wifi at my home. After a moment, my wifi started showing ‘unsecured network’. To check the problem, i did ‘forget my network’ and then it just get connects without asking for a password, making it very unsecure. I tried to reset modem completely but nothing is working. What should I do to keep my wifi safe and protected and it should ask for a password when any device try to connect. Its happening with all the devices at home.

Good Day & Welcome.
Thank you for posting your question. I am not quite sure I fully understand your question. Did you do a Factory reset on your Giga Hub modem? Please explain what it is you are trying to do and the device you are using to access your Wi-Fi network. Please verify your Wi-Fi network settings on the devices that you are using to connect to your network.
If you do not wish to view, receive or recover modem & Wi-Fi passwords you can turn these settings to off. This can be completed by logging in to your Giga Hub modem and making these changes in Modem preferences.
- Password recovery by Email or Text
- On screen.
FYI Only!
- 192.168.2.1 often shows as "Not Secure" in your browser because it's a private, local IP address for your modem, not a public website with a valid SSL certificate; this is usually normal, but it's only "secure" if you're logging into your own modem's admin page, not a public site, and you should see a "Not Secure" warning on HTTP connections. The actual security depends on your modem's Wi-Fi password (WPA2/WPA3) and login credentials, not the IP address itself.
- A factory reset on a Bell Giga Hub wipes all your custom settings, restoring it to its original out-of-the-box state, including resetting your Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password back to the defaults printed on the device, deleting personalized admin passwords, and clearing logs, which helps resolve connectivity issues but requires you to set everything up again.
Take care.

Thank you for your question.. Some additional information would be helpful. What device are you using to connect to your Giga Hub? What button did you press on the Giga Hub? You are right to be concerned about your connection. Please say more.
