I recently discontinued my service. Today I got my bill showing a substantial credit. How do I collect this credit? Is a cheque issued by Bell? If so, how long should I have to wait?

Thank you for your question. While I can't speak to your specific cheque, it appears, according to what I am receiving myself, that Canada Post is still clearing backlogged mail from their storage and sorting centres. You might give it another week.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
I trust that you are fully aware that there was a postal strike across Canada that ended the week before Christmas. This in itself has delayed the mail delivery for all Canadians.
This a community forum, a peer-to-peer website. As such, we do not have access to your account & billing records. Billing issues such as this cannot be handled on this forum. Have you contacted Bell Customer Services to confirm a cheque has been forwarded to you?
It normally takes 90 days from the date of your final bill. For balances between $10 and $500 bill, Bell mails a cheque to your preferred mailing address within 90 days of the date of that bill. For balances of a different amount, please contact Bell Customer Service at: 1 866 310-BELL or dial #611 from any Bell mobile device to request that a cheque be mailed.
If you are returning a mobile phone, or accessories, you’ll receive a refund 60 to 90 days after Bell has received and verified any items that you’ve returned.
Your final bill will arrive within 40 days after the cancellation of your services.
The following web link will provide you further details.

Bell has been the absolute worst when it comes to customer support. I purchased a device on December 13,2024 and returned it on December 16, 2024. I was given 2 separate bills of 82$ and another bill of $1100 EVEN after returning the device.
Then their super slow weird system deducted both the bills directly from my bank account in January 2025. Even after returning the device in December 2024, they were taking money for a returned device.
On top of that when I asked for a refund, I was told that a cheque will be issued and on feb 3,2024 the cheque has been sent to me. I am supposed to get the cheque of 1100$ but after waiting for 11 days I received a cheque of 82$(this amount has already been refunded 😂) .
This is the most broken and pathetic system I have seen. I was told that the customer service team cannot track my cheque because it is sent by a BACKEND team 😒.
I am still awaiting my refund even after 2 months of returning the device. WORST EVER service.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
The Bell Community is a place for you to ask questions, find answers and share your thoughts with other members. This is a true peer-to-peer community space; as such, we do not access to your account & billing information. Issues such as this cannot be resolved on this site. You will need to contact Bell Customer Service - accounts & billing to discuss this matter.
Where did you purchase your device? Online? Bell Customer Service? Bell store?
How did you return your device? Did you return it to a Bell store or did you return your device through Canada Post or Purolator? Are you on a Monthly of pre-paid plan?
You should receive a refund 60 to 90 days after Bell has received and verified the items you’ve returned. Your device must meet the following criteria:
- You have returned the device within 15 days of your commitment start date.
- You returned the device and original receipt to your purchase location.
- The device is in “like new” condition with all original packaging, manuals and accessories included.
- If you are on a monthly plan & you have not used the device excessively. If you are on a prepaid plan the device has not exceeded 30 minutes of voice usage or 50 MB of data usage.
Bell will refund your money in the same way that you paid.
- If you billed your purchase to your Bell Canada account, the refund will appear on your next statement or on the one following, depending on your billing date.
- The credit card used will be credited with the refund.
- If a prepaid credit card was used, you will receive your refund by cheque.
- If your card has expired, the credit will automatically be transferred to your new card. If you still don’t receive your credit, a letter from the credit card provider, stating that the credit wasn’t received, is required before a cheque can be mailed.
Please call Bell Mobility for further assistance at: 1 800 667-0123 or dial *611 from any Bell mobile device.
Thank you for posting your question.
Take care.

I have a credit on the mobility side of my "One Bill". No one has effectively helped me to credit me back. All I do is wait on hold to speak to someone in "One Bill" billing department. I want this to be resolved to my satisfaction. How do I speak to a live person instead of constantly being put on for ages? It's infuriating!

Hi, I recently cancelled my Bell mobility plan and have credit of around ~$74. I just wanted to know if a refund is coming my way and if so, is it possible to receive it through credit card instead of cheque? Thanks
