Hi there, @karunadev. Thanks for your post.
Yes, your plan can be changed via your MyBell profile
to accommodate for higher data usage. Do bear in mind that your older plan may no longer be available after the change, and as such you would not be able to switch back to it once your data usage goes back down - you would need to review your plan options again and select one suited to your needs.
As for your current data charges, have these already been billed to you? If so, you would not be able to remove them as usage is billed monthly. If it's from your current billing cycle, then a plan change with sufficient data would remove any current data usage charges.
Do bear in mind that as the Community is a peer-to-peer support channel, we're unable to speak to account specific circumstances such as personal billing, or make changes on your behalf such as a new plan.

Hello, due to an urgent health situation we elevated our data usage. I wonder if it is possible today to change the plan to the BYOD Essential 120 GB plan, and would the current which is several $100 from last month fall under this new plan?

Which mobility plan do you have? Depending on your existing plan, you may not be able to add further data.
To verify that you can add data to your current plan, > Login to MyBell with any web browser. > Select your mobile service, > Choose usage details, > Choose add data.
If the data option is available for you to add-on more, then you can continue on and make your choice. If it will not allow you to add-on date, then another option may be to change your mobility plan. This can also be completed on MyBell.
The Bell Community Forum does not have access to your personal account, billing or to make changes to your service. If you prefer, you can contact Bell Mobility Customer Service to make changes to your account. Please call: 1 800 667-0123 or dial *611 from any Bell mobile device.
Let us know if you require any further assistance.
Take care.

Ran out of fast data. Changed rate plan for more. Data still throttled back.
How long does it take for the new plan to kick in?

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community.
Just login to MyBell . Select your mobile service, choose usage details, choose add data. The other option open to you is to change your mobility plan.
The change in data or plan can be completed immediately.

I have gone over my data limit with about 2 weeks remaining in my billing period. My Bell says I can erase the overage by adding data. I read here that doing this will waive the $50 charge, but I spoke to a Bell representative to be absolutely sure and she told me that it will NOT waive the charge. I will have to pay for the extra data plus the $50. What is the experience of other users? Who is correct, the community forum or the Bell rep?
