Does Fibe require Cloud PVR?

The PVR service doesn't work well so I'd like to cancel it and save $10/month.  Bell says that cloud PVR is a requirement for FibeTB (receiver, not app).  Is that true?

Are you talking about the main dvr or the extra boxes with the 5662 box?

  • The Fibe VIP7xxx boxes.  He little ones that run off ethernet or wifi, not coax.

You must at least keep one. The fire box offers a basic access to quite a few features that are not available on the App or website.

*first box

btw if you meant switching to the fibe tv app pack, you’ll loss some features that seem to not directly related to the box, like rights to subscribe certain channels, Restart, even rewind and pause, etc.

Thanks.  I'm not talking about the box itself, though, but the $10/month CloudPVR service.  Can that be cancelled?
