Fibe TV volume is lower compared to Fibe TV app

I am also using my TV screen as a second screen on my laptop.  But the TV speakers provide a louder volume when used via my laptop rather than used just for Fibe TV.  I have increased the Fibe TV volume to 100, but it is still quieter than when I watch the same show via the Fibe-TV app on my laptop.  How can I fix this?

You can install a Google TV App on your phone. AFAIK that’s the only certain way. I have a Bluetooth slim remote for the 7802 box and it used to able to control my TV’s volume. However, one day it suddenly switched to control the Android box’s volume setting instead. I never replicate this situation on other remotes and not able to switch it back neither.

Bell tv has no volume

Can you just provide just a few more details? Volume? All channels? Satellite? Fibe TV? Fibe app?

Have you rebooted receivers? Modem? Checked TV settings, Cables ? Do you have a sound bar, external speakers? More than one receiver?

Did you check your TV audio? Have you changed anything? Is this an ongoing problem? A new issue? Did you check your remote mute on? volume settings?

Let me know & I will try to help you.

Take care.

That's the highest you can get on the box. Try your TV screen remote.

The sound on all TV channels (Fibe TV) is very low.  I have volume at 16 which is fine when watching Prime/Netflix but can't hear clearly on any TV channels.  Have to up the volume to almost 40-50 to understand the news.  This is painful.  I tried almost everything:

1) adjusting TV volume on the TV remote,

2) changing settings Audio with Sound system and HDMI,

3) rebooting my TV as well as re-pairing my TV with the modem

4) running Bell virtual Repair tool

but nothing worked.  HELP.

Thank you for your question. You have done most of the things I would have suggested. However, have you looked at your TV set manual to see if there are additional troubleshooting steps you might do to resolve your issue? In addition, you might also try replacing the HDMI cable with a good quality cable.

Hey @kitchen48, did you figure it out? It started to do the same thing for me a week ago, channel volume is now extremely low, but apps (YouTube, Netflix, etc) when accessed via the Fibe box sound just fine.

When I increase the STB volume, it increases app volume too so it doesn't fix the issue.

Thanks!

Hey there @Dbrown

Welcome to the Bell Community 🙂

Can you share that make and model of the equipment you are using to watch Bell Fibe TV (e.g. Bell TV receiver, third party streaming device/Smart TV)?

We invite you to review this helpful replyOpens in a new tab or window as well. It includes some helpful steps on how to increase volume on the receiver.

Try that out, and let the Community know if you have any other questions.
