How to troubleshoot or replace remote

Hi .   My remote for fibe suddenly stopped working. When I press the power button nothing lights up. I changed to batteries twice and used the different sets in different other devices so I know the batteries work. At first when I changed the batteries the red light for Bell displayed but then stopped after a couple tries.   The remote will no longer activate the TV for fibe.

Hey CV,

If it's within the first 12 months, the remote should still be under warranty. We'd be happy to replace it.  Outside of warranty, it would be either a $30 or $50 charge (depending on the remote model), and we'd be happy to ship a new one straight to your door.  You can order them online too, and any of our agents would be happy to assist.

Hope that helps! Have a great day!😊

your remote sounds dead. They will send a new one. But you will be charged for it.

I purchased a remote less than a year ago. Everything works fine except the button for #1 will not

Can you go to a Bell store and exchange remotes for Bell Fibe, mine is about 6-7 years old ?

How much does it cost ?

Thanks

The price is probably the same as the price listed on the website. You can talk to online agents about getting one for free, after all it seems like you’ve been with Bell for 6-7 yrs.

I have 2 remote controls for bell fibe and the power button on both of them is not working. Everything else is fine…volume, guide, etc all working.

Which remotes do you have?
If after troubleshooting the buttons are still no longer responding it may be necessary to replace your remotes.

Good Day.

When programming your remote to a Smart TV, you may need to go beyond the first acceptable response for muting sound. I have a Samsung Smart TV. It is also equipped to search for your provider & TV. It will offer up to you more than one remote control solution. If the first sound mute solution works but does not control the TV power, then you need to try the next one. I was on the fourth mute solution & it was then, that  my remote found the correct power on / off & mute combination for my remote, Samsung TV & Bell Fibe HD receiver to work properly.

Matching your tv remote, your model of tv & your Bell equipment is not as easy as it sounds. Try thinking beyond the box. I did …. It will work. It is like a puzzle that looks complex, has only 3 pieces & in my case there were 12 variables.

Only the right combination will work!

Take care…patience is a virtue. It is not an easy or quick process,
