If I have recordings older than 365 days, (or more than 320 hours), will they all suddenly disappear?
This is a drastic change that most people probably don’t know about.
TV isn’t essential of course, but I still have some old stuff I’d like to watch.

I checked the contract.
2. Can Bell make changes to the Agreement?
We may change the Services and any term of the Agreement, including increasing the Charges (see Section 11).
If required, we will give you notice of these changes in writing, at least 30 days (60 days for certain changes related
to Internet Services) before the effective date, using a reasonable method to bring it to your attention, for example
by posting it on bell.ca, by including it on or with your bill, by mail, email or text message.
Where required by applicable law:
the notice of the change will describe the new or amended clause and the former version of the clause,
the effective date of the amendment, as well as your rights if you do not agree with the amendment; and
if the change increases your obligations or reduces ours, you may refuse the amendment and cancel
the Agreement without penalty, by notifying us no later than 30 days after the effective date of the
amendment.
If you refuse the change, your remedy is to cancel the impacted Service or the Agreement
Bell gives you an option to cancel the impacted service, i.e. Cloud PVR. It's $10 monthly on my bill. I think when the customer start the service, the customer has to accept this general agreement. I am not sure whether CCTS can do anything for the customer.

That's a huge change from 1 year to 2 months... based on this we should be getting a big discount from Bell on our package! We are getting a lot less then what we signed up for. I have a few sport games I have recorded and like to watch a few times over the year. I agree with others here, reduce the space so we are forced to delete our own programs as needed, maybe reduce the time to 6 months .... but 2 months is crazy! Thanks Bell!

I regularly stream from the FIBE app on my iPad and iPhone, directly to my Samsung and LG TVs using AirPlay. DO it with live TV and recordings.

The issue with this method is that many contents, including 4k sports, are not playable on iPhones and iPads, and you can watch them only via a receiver. So, this method is not reliable for keeping the recordings. I suggest everyone contact Bell and fill out the complaint form. They should listen to the people; otherwise, they will lose customers.

Just tried it and you are correct - won't stream. Tried to do it with a HDMI cord - streamed audio but no video.

Even the notice said, the 60 days limit will become effective on May 1. I found few recordings on the App said, they will be expired soon. The earliest one was recorded on Feb 4. I never downloaded recordings to my android phone, since I can watch them at anytime and anyplace (that's I was attracted to get the Bell Fibe TV).
Not sure whether is false warning for those early Feb recordings. If counting 60 days from early Feb, they will be expired in early April (SOON!) I downloaded couple recordings (one recorded on Feb 4, another on Feb 6) to my android phone. After the downloading, the app shows "This download will be available on this device until you remove it."
Not sure whether this means, I can keep that downloaded recordings in my phone "forever". I will wait and see till early April and share the results to the group.

Another drawback with downloads on mobile devices is that the picture quality is worse than on TV even if it's a program not in 4K. 2.1gb/h at most when not on TV or casting. 3 GB/h as per Fibe TV app on Apple tv or 3.3GB/h as per Bell(Askey) Streamer. And I have noticed the picture quality for CNN International SD recordings are also worse than on TV. CNNi has better pic quality generally than oth SD channels though.

This is INSANE! When I signed up for Fibe I was concerned about storing for only 365 days. I was told I could extend it. That was a lie! Now they want to reduce to 60 days! Come on Bell! This is a deal breaker for me. I wont renew if Bell keeps this garbage up. And they only give you 30 days notice. I'm going to loose so much. I'm already looking for another provider.
I'd buy the old desktop box but try to find one.
I called customer support and they agent knew nothing about this. In the email it says to call for more information. The agent even suggested I had gotten a scam email from a competitor. What a joke.
The Fibe service and cloud pvr is already a piece of garbage. I keep a list of my outages. Its 4 pages long now. So many problems. Bell should try to make things better, not worse!

The change impacts those with the VIP 7802 who have access to cloud PVR - customers using an older model are not affected by this change. Impacted customers will receive a communication from Bell.
Customers who have Bell’s VIP 7802 have access to cloud PVR for 60 days across all supported devices including smartphones, web browsers, and connected TV devices like Apple TV, FireTV and Android TV. Recordings can be watched at home or on the go - they can even be downloaded to be watched offline on smartphones. Customers can also set and manage recordings at home or on the go through the Fibe TV App.
We also encourage you to check out our On Demand
content as it has over 34,000 hours of movies and shows including the latest blockbuster and popular TV series.

Hi BellDRock,
Can you explain this, if the effective date is May 1? I am really confused.
